Forgot Some Things, No Big Deal

Camille's POV

They finally finished x-rays and now I find out that I have broken my arm. Great for me. So I sat in my room as they put a cast on. I don't need plates or screws put in. I just know that from now on I will have problems with my speech. I hit my head and that part of the head became a little damaged. So they said I can talk fine, it's just I will have trouble with words or saying them. No big deal for me. I can live without talking. But the girls all know I talk now. I hope they haven't told anyone. I only talked because I was really scared and a truck bigger then ours was heading straight towards us.

They finished putting a cast on my arm and then Beth came in limping pretty bad. She was being helped by a nurse. I got up and took her from the nurse, she smiled and left. I smiled back and looked at Beth. I could see the tight bandage thing around her stomach and her bruises and cuts showed everywhere. She had some stiches on her forehead, I had some on my other arm and one on my knee.

She put her arm around my waist and I put mine under her arm. She held me tight and we limped to the waiting area together. We got there and the three girls are sleeping, the guys are talking or doing nothing. That is until they saw us and ran to us. None of them touched us, just asked of we were okay.

"You girls okay?" Ponyboy asked with Johnny by his side, we both nodded and followed them back to the chairs. They woke up the three girls. Kaylee shot up from her seat scared. Man did that car wreck get to her head. Sidney sat up rubbing her eyes and messing up her hair. Alexia stood up and walked over to us two.

"Ready to go?" Darry asked.

"Yeah" They all said, the girls said. I can talk later on when I want. We followed them outside the doors of the hospital and when I looked at Beth and Kaylee, their eyes went wide. The guys got in and told us to pick a car to go in.

"What's wrong?" Dally asked.

"No way am I stepping foot in a car, truck or any vehicle." Kaylee said.

"Neither am I. I am walking home" Beth said.

"Guys scared of them now?" Steve questioned.

"Yeah Sunny boy, we are." Kaylee said as the two of them went down the street together. I knew they couldn't go alone, but the other two girls spoke up before I could.

"I am going with them" Sidney said.

"Me too" Alexia said and they left off with the girls. The guys all looked at me and I looked at the girls.

"I'll go with them too, meet y'all at home" I said. Then all their jaws dropped, I ignored them and walked over to the girls and went down the road with them. I walked beside Kaylee and she was really determined to not get in a car. I heard car engines start and then two cars pull up beside, revealing Steve and Dally driving, Darry's in the same car as Dally. The other boys all ran up behind us.

"You can talk?" Dally asked me.

"Yeah, she first said "SHIT". When she turned and saw the semi-truck last night" Alexia replied for me.

"Nice words" Soda said and the others all laughed.

"They can be meaner and come your way" I said to Soda and he stopped laughed. So did the others when I gave them death glares.

We got home and the girls all went in the house. I sat outside on the porch and Johnny joined me when he saw that I didn't come inside with the others. I stared at the sun as it went down and turned to night. The nice pinks, oranges and reds all going to black and some white from stars. I smiled at the sight and then Johnny smiled too. Not sure if it was from looking at the sky or seeing me smile.
