Girls Day... Bad Day

One week later...

Kenzie's POV

Camille is asleep in the bed room and has been there for about week. She hasn't yet gone outside with anyone. She's different and hurt. Her ankle doesn't do much, Johnny's been asking me questions about her and all that stuff. Since Camille never told or showed anyone what she is like. I told that she is the smartest and can be the dumbest at times.

Kaylee invited me to go skateboarding with her. The guys had a couple boards and said we could take them. So we did, Kaylee and I ate our food and before we headed out Soda stopped to talk to Kaylee. I eaves dropped on their conversation. They went into the kitchen so I stood outside the kitchen, in the dinning room hidden under the table.

"Can I tell you something?" Soda asked. What is it? Tell us, I mean 'her'!

"Depends if it's a secret I am terrible at keeping them" She said. She is telling the truth on that one, no one tells her secrets. But if we do, it will be one that the others already know and she didn't know that we already knew.

"I like you and have since the day I met you at the DX and you were ringing the bell over and over again." He said. I gasped and hit my head off the table, what is she gonna do? She doesn't know what love is. But at least it's not Ponyboy asking Beth. Because she will crush his soul to death, I mean it.

"I uh, gotta go. Kenzie is waiting for me" She said and took off out the front door. I got out from under the table and saw Soda confused as hell and maybe a little upset. That ain't what he was looking for I don't think. But none of the guys know that we have no clue what love is. I don't need to know for another couple years when guys start going girl crazy for me.

I caught up with Kaylee outside and she didn't seem upset like Soda was. Only confused and shocked showed up on her face. I grabbed my board and she picked hers up. We ran down the road and dropped them. I got on my board before her and then she did. We went down the road and around by the rich people. What cold go wrong, we're on skateboards and were not walking after all. But I was told to listen to Kaylee. Her and I aren't suppose to leave no more without one of the twins, Camille or Sidney.

We got to the soc side and saw a mustang show up behind us. When I turned around to looked in front of me another mustang was in our way. I ran into the car and fell off my board and Kaylee did the same thing, but she fell on top of me. The guys got out of the car and walked up to us. They pulled us up by the collars of our jackets and started to hit us left and right. They took glass bottles and started to hit Kaylee in the head. Once she was out cold they tied her hands together and her ankles together. NO! They're taking us away from the girls, but what do they want? We aren't even from this time or belong here.

Next was me to go, once they put her in the back of their cars they went after me. They used the glass bottle and started to hit me as hard as they could. I could feel the warm blood running down the side of my face and onto the ground beneath me. I knew we were gonna be dead by the time we escape these guys. They hit me one last time really hard in the temple and I went out like a light, I didn't feel them tie ropes around my ankles or hands. Nor did I feel them put me in their car with Kaylee.

Soda's POV

I just told Kaylee I liked her and she took off saying she had to go. But why? I thought she liked me back too, she always smiles when I do. She just lights up the room and makes everyone smile when she ain't mad at Steve or two-bit.

She left the house with Kenzie and I went to the living room, Steve, Dallas and Two-bit all went to their houses last night after awhile. Ponyboy and Johnny took Darry's room. Darry and I took my room once we moved Kenzie to the couch. The girls all took the living room, Camille on the couch. But now that were awake from my room, we moved her into that room.

I want to know about girls kinda. They aren't from Tulsa, I know they're from new York because of their accent and they talk like Dally. I sat on the couch and then Sidney woke up, she's been out of jail once in the past week. She stole a place with Beth not long ago. Beth got a warning and since Sidney is the age of minority, she went to jail. We bailed her out and Darry told her to smarten the hell up for Beth and Kenzie's sake. We don't got any younger ones, unless you wanna count Ponyboy as one.

"Hey Soda, where's Mackenzie and Kaylee?" She asked. I watched tv and answered her while I watched the tv.

"Went skateboarding for a little while, why?" I asked. She shrugged her shoulders and went to the kitchen. Steve, Dallas and two-bit walk in the door and make so much noise. They woke up Beth, Alexia and Rebecca. But Rebecca still kicks you when she's asleep. So Steve got the kick to the stomach.

"Soda, coming to work?" Steve said. Oh shoot, I forgot about work this morning. I only have my jeans and t-shirt on. I went to my room and put on my DX shirt and then came running back to the front door. I put my shoes on and Steve and I left. Johnny and Dallas joined us, they wanted to talk about something. Or dally did and Johnny followed along.

We got to the DX and we all went inside, Steve is gonna work the register and I am taking the cars, but before we left our ways we had to talk with Dallas.

"You know the girls, something is off about them" Dally said. All three of us nodded to what Dally just said and agreed with him.

"They seem to be getting in fights between each other and they never fight." Steve said.

"Yeah, but all the stress goes on Sidney. She's the one watching over them all like Darry. She's only 18 and she has 6 girls to watch over. She didn't grow up like some of us with a good life. Her parents abused her and she turned out to be a Dally. Like the rest of the girls" I said. Their faces turned to shock.

"How do you know all this?" Johnny asked.

" Kaylee and Rebecca don't keep their mouths shut about things sometimes. Like how Rebecca and Beth didn't listen to us when we said not to go on the soc side of town" I said. Then Steve laughed and so did Dally.

"We should get to work" Steve said and I nodded. Johnny and Dally left to go to Buck's and the Dingo for a little while. I went ti the garage and did my job, I still am bummed out about Kaylee and I thing this morning. I don't know what got to me, how could I think a girl like Kaylee would like me. She's a soc but is in the Greaser category. I'd put her Soc myself and say she has greaser blood in her bones. All the girls do, maybe not Kenzie because she's smaller. But she can give a good punch. They keep us busy that's for sure, someone always getting hurt, a fight happening somewhere or they just make our day if they're nice side is showing. Some of the guys have been acting strange, for instance Johnny. He's like the only one, along with Kenzie and Sidney who have been talking Camille. Does Johnny have a crush on Camille? Dallas on the other hand is nice to the girls, he's never like that and he's a player too.

I went under the car and changed the oil. The day started off okay I guess. Lots of people, lots of girls coming in and out. I didn't really want to see any other girls coming up to me and all that. I only had Kaylee on my mind. I even let her go outside alone with an 11 year old. Sidney might get mad if they come back with a black eye or a broken bone like Camille.  I put my thoughts aside and continued on doing my work.
