Safe and Sound

Soda's POV

We found the girls in the basement of one of the socs house. We only were able to because we went to look for Alexia and Sidney. We saw blood marks that led to a house. We didn't call the ambulances though, someone else did. All the girls looked like they just got beat. Kaylee and Kenzie were unconscious already, Camille went unconscious when Johnny picked her up. The others looked weak, they all were shivering from being in cold basement. I am surprised to know that Kaylee and Mackenzie made it two and a half weeks there.

We all jumped in Darry's truck and we headed for the hospital. I told the guys, mostly tried to tell Johnny and Ponyboy what Alexia told. They each have like two reasons not to love, none of them know what love is apparently. I do understand a little, hearing that some of them had abusive parents, ya don't get much affection or feel loved after that. Some of the guys were on the verge of bawling their eyes out, I didn't though. We had to stay strong for them, they push us away and we stayed by their side the whole time even when they didn't need us. I do feel like it's my fault all this happened. If I never would've let Kaylee and Mackenzie go out alone, they'd be safe and not unconscious like they are now.

We got to the hospital and sat in the waiting room. The only one we got to see was Sidney after awhile of being here. She walked out and sat next to us. She didn't talk though until Dallas spoke up.

"Hey Blondie" He said and she nodded.

"Do you guys hate us now?" She asked we all shook our heads no.

"Why would we ever hate you?" Darry asked. She looked at the ground and then up at the ceiling.

"We pushed you all away so many times. Beth was ready to kill Ponyboy this morning. I was ready to go back. I hate Dallas and he hates me. Kaylee still hates Sunny boy and he hates her. We're not like you guys at all" She said. She was ready to go back where?

"Doesn't mean we hate you because you think we do. Yes some of us hate each other, but that's life and you're gonna hate people or attempt to kill" I said. She smiled. T

"What's your reason not love?" Dally asked her.

"I am a big player, I don't really know what love is either. Never had any growing up. I did but my older brother died when I was 12. I stopped loving people and went on life" Then a nurse came out and told us about the girls. She said they were all awake but Kenzie, Camille and Kaylee.

We got up and went to their rooms, they put the girls all in one huge room. They make those? Don't matter, we had 3 girls in this room and the one across the hall has three. I stood near the door and watched the girls faces lit up. The twins and Beth were in here. Ponyboy didn't go and see her though. He stood next to me and looked at the ground.

"Go see her Pony" I said and he looked up at me. He shook his head no.

"Why not?" I asked.

"I blew my chance with her when I hurt her" He said.

"SO, she might say it's alright. She'd rather be with her friends safe and sound then miserable and dead" I said.

"Maybe later, you gonna talk to Kaylee when she wakes up?" He asked. I nodded and him and I stood by the door together. Sidney fell asleep in one of chairs next to Beth. Two-bit, Johnny and Dally left the girls to sleep. Steve and Darry are talking to nurses and doctors. He said when the other three wake up they can all leave the place.

I sat on the ground and Ponyboy sat next to me and I fell asleep in the hot room. Needed to be hot for the girls since they were all in the cold basement. I didn't really see Beth move much, unless she went to sleep just after we came in here. Ponyboy asleep next to me and then we all ended up asleep.
