Last update for a while because I'm going on vacation for two weeks.
"I'm just saying it's crazy how we were talking about slasher movies in Language Arts, and then Nina got slashed."
Eveyrbody intently listened to what Riley had to say. A few random people sat on the floor around the fire listening in on our groups conversation. Kieran sat in one of the arm chairs, a beer clutched in his hands, and Jake sat in the other, all the while Noah and Riley both sat on the couch, leaving me to stand on my own.
I placed myself on the arm of Jake's chair, being too drunk to realise that he'd wrapped a arm around my waist, pulling me practically half into his lap. Maybe it was the fact that I was too drunk or maybe I just didn't care, but I didn't push him away.
"I'm not scared."
"Maybe we should be afraid..." Kieran's voice rang out across the deadly silence in the room, "Bunch of drunk teenagers at a party by the lake where your home grown killer died. It's like a natural slasher setting."
"That's exactly what I said!" I drunkenly squealed, Kieran rolled his eyes at me before standing up from his place on the arm chair.
"You, sit here." He motioned for me to sit in his seat, "I'm getting you some water."
"I'm good here thanks!" I called after him. By this point I actually had my legs sprawled out from one side of the arm chair to the other, my head rested comfortably against Jake's shoulder and his arms lay around my small frame.
"But a party like this?" Noah's eyes flickered over to Riley's, he was so trying to impress her. "You're actually pretty safe from your typical Jason or Michael Myers type."
"Safe? But there's a lake, hormones, beer." She clinked her bottle against Noah's
"But we're together. You know, slasher dude isn't the terminator, shooting his way through thirty cops in a police precinct. No, he's a wolf, waiting for one of us to wander off alone."
My vision began to blur slightly as I nestled in closer to Jake, he let out a slight chuckle at the sight of me, obviously never having seen me so drunk or ever wanting to be so close to him.
"Survival is simple at a party like this..." Noah's words began to slur as his head tipped back and he fell face first into the couch, "Y-You just don't want off alone... Hmm... Goodnight."
"Don't leave me alone." I slurred, turning to look at Jake, taking what Noah had told me incredibly seriously. But it wasn't the fear of my own death that made me want to stick by his side; it was the fear of his death.
"I got you."

When I came back around I was in the middle of the lake on some kind of raft, Noah lay passed out beside me and I immediately made a mental note to kill Jake myself, with my bare hands.
"Stupid Wren Lake tradition..." I groaned, immediately sobering up after realising I was in fact in the middle of the lake and that I had also been stripped from all of my clothes apart from my underwear, "Stupid Jake. Stupid slasher. Stupid me trying to protect his sorry ass. Stupid!"
"Oh my god..." Noah's voice spoke, his voice echoed across the lake.
"It's okay Noah, it's just the lake where Brandon James died." He mumbled to himself
