After telling Jake all about the second phone call that I was to receive from the killer, he walked me to the library where the rest of our class waited and he pulled me into the quietest corner of the room, where nobody would hear us and we spoke in hushed voices.
"So what are we gonna do about this, huh?"
"All I'm trying to do right now is keep that psycho away from you."
"You shouldn't do that! I can take care of myself, I can't make care of both of us."
"Look, keeping you and the rest of my friends alive is my main priority right now." I glared, "As long as the killer's calling me, I can keep them away from the rest of you as long as possible."
"Nobody's asking you to do that."
"I just don't want anyone else to die."
"Nobody else is going to die." He whispered, taking ahold of my hand.
I pulled away from him, "You can't promise that though, can you?"
"No. I can't. But I can try to stop it."
"Nobody can stop it, we just have to let the death toll rise and hope we're not next."

"Okay it's six pm and you brought us all out to meet, for coffees?" I rose an eyebrow, "Six at night's kinda a unusual time for hot beverages."
"I have important news!" Riley interrupted, "So just as Noah and I were about to, you know, Tyler finally texted back." Riley's eyes scanned over all of her friends before she finally spoke again, "He needs our help."
"And you just left the little dude hanging?" Jake smirked, "Harsh."
"Jake. Bigger issues."
"Much bigger." I laughed silently to myself, my friends all shot me annoyed looks aside from Jake who laughed along with me, "Sorry, I'm sorry, somebody had to say it."
"Wait, did you text him back?" Emma asked
"Yes, he said he didn't do it but he's scared no one's going to believe him."
"I don't believe him." Brooke said, seemingly uninterested in the whole conversation, "I told him to turn himself in."
"Wait, he texted you too?" I asked, looking down to check my phone.
I always kept my phone on silent so when I was asleep I wouldn't be woken by the notifications of the groups late night chats on Kik, or Will's obnoxious drunk text messages, or even Riley's late night studying as she asked me for answers to some of the questions.
But now was not one of those times that I needed it to be silent.
Because I'd received multiple text messages, and they were all from Tyler.
"Same time as Riley." She twirled her hair, "Hes probably suffering from psycho killer's remorse."
"He texted me too." I mumbled, scrolling through the messages I'd received, "But his messages are different from what he sent you guys..."
"What did he send you?"
"He wants me to meet him." I paused, "But guys, I don't think this is Tyler."
"Me too." Emma added
"It came from his number." Jake reminded us
"It's not him!" Emma and I said simultaneously
