Twenty-Three.

Hey guys! So before I started this chapter I wanted all of your opinions on something. I want to give Lydia and Jake a iconic moment, like how Jake and Brooke have the pool scene or how Audrey and Noah stargazed together and i had a few ideas as to what i could do, but I'd also really like to hear some of you guys ideas too. So here's what I got so far:

They go to the lake where Lydia and Noah almost died (yep, the same one that Brandon James died in) and go night swimming

Or

Jake borrows the keys to the movie theatre from one of his basketball friends and they sneak in and watch movies together in the back row

Or

The two of them break into an ice rink and Jake can barely stay on his feet but Lydia teaches him

So that's pretty much all i have but I'd like to hear your ideas and don't worry I'll give credit for them if I use one, and hear your opinions on my ideas, so anyways now that that's over with, enjoy!

Audrey gave Jake and I one final look before she pushed her way through the crowd and left the two of us standing alone.

We weren't alone.

"Hey guys, how're you all holding up?" A voice spoke from behind us

Piper Shaw. The voice of autopsy of a crime and Emma's close friend. I'd always liked Piper, I mean I'd only ever met her once and I'd never really listened to her podcast but from the stories Emma had told me, she sounded like a nice girl. I liked that she was there for Emma even if we weren't, atleast I knew she had someone to protect her.

Emma silently followed behind her, her eyes meeting everyone's apart from my own.

"I'm trying." I nodded

"We all are." Emma agreed, her eyes finally meeting my own, a smile curled at the corners of her mouth.

"So..." Piper trailed off, "You two finally got together huh?"

"We're not- not that hes not- well, more that I'm not-" I stuttered incoherently.

"It's complicated." Jake interrupted me, giving my hand another small squeeze.

"Speaking of complicated, Audrey really liked Rachel, huh?"

"I think the feeling was mutual."

"This isn't for your little podcast is it?"

"No, no, of course not. This is just a friend talking to some friends."

Emma let out a sigh, her eyes wandering to meet mine, then Jake's, then Piper's.

"What?"

"It's just that..." Piper let out a sigh, "I talked to Rachel's parents, they said that Audrey really intimidated Rachel. And that... she could get her to do things she wouldn't normally do."

I immediately tensed up, it wasn't because it made me fear Audrey, it was because i knew she wasn't like that in the slightest, and the fact that Piper was making an accusation like that, well, it pissed me off.

"Maybe that's the only way her parents could justify her liking a girl." Jake spoke before I could, and I swear to god I had never liked him more.

It was almost as if he knew what I was feeling, so he immediately reacted to anything that got to me, I think I liked that about him most.

"Sure... but it's hard to know the truth unless you have the whole story."
