This chapter is actually an emotional roller coaster ride omf.
The morning air left goosebumps across my skin, my bedroom was cold as if someone had left the window open and my bed was empty, as if Jake had never been there in the first place.
"Jake?" I called out groggily
He stood infront of the window, one hand gripping a cigarette so tightly that I thought the fragile stick of nicotine was going to split in two, and the other ran frustratedly through his hair, as if he had something on his mind.
"What are you doing? Come back to bed..." I groaned into my pillow
"No." He answered simply
"Are you okay?"
I quickly pulled on my pyjama shorts that haphazardly hung off of the edge of my bed, and Jake's shirt from the night before. He stood shirtless infront of the window, the spare blanket from the end of my bed was draped over his shoulders.
"No. I'm not okay." I wrapped the blanket around me, so both of us fit comfortably beneath it, he flicked the cigarette out of the window.
"Why? What's wrong?"
"I'm surprised you didn't know. I mean, you and Emma were already the stars of Lakewood."
"Jake, what are you talking about?"
"I'll give you a hint, what does every star have?"
"You're not making any sense."
"A sex tape."
"What are you even talking about?" I exclaimed
"You and Will! First the video of Emma's first time with Will gets leaked and then a second video gets leaked not even a minute later of you and him, practically having sex."
"Wait? There's a video?"
"Don't act stupid, if you were gonna film yourselves as your own sick little-"
"Jake, I honestly had no idea that a video even existed... How many people have seen it?"
"A couple thousand."
"Oh god, I never even got to tell Emma myself... I should've told her when I had the chance, fuck!"
"Would've, Could've, Should've." Jake mocked me, "You brought this upon yourself."
"It was Will! He threatened me! He said that if Emma or anyone else ever found out that he'd kill me! Jake you have to believe me!"
"That's the problem, I want to believe you, but I don't." He was scarily calm, so calm that I was convinced he was going to lash out at any second, but he didn't. Instead, he took my phone off the nightstand, typed in my password and found a video link someone had sent me.
"Watch it." He demanded, the video began to play.
"Will..."
"No."
"I bet he loved the way you moaned his name."
"Jake, stop it."
"How he could make you say it so easily without barely even touching you..." he ran a hand across my forearm, "I bet he liked how you raked your finger nails down his back. I know I did. But what I bet he liked the most is how easy you were, how I could've walked in at any second nd found the two of you but you didn't spare me a single thought."
"Stop it! Just stop!" I covered my ears, "You said you were okay with what happened with me and Will, that it was in the past."
"I was never okay with it. I pretended to be for the two of you." He shook his head, "Knowing about it is one thing, but seeing it with your own eyes that's something else... And knowing that he had you before me, that what happened between us could just as easily mean nothing to you like that did, then I don't know if I want this."
