You need your memory to learn, talk, and really do anything.
Memories can be beautiful and horrific but it's all in the past.

How you view your past can show a lot about you as a person. As an example, some studies show that if you view your bad memories in the first person point of view you tend to be more introverted and less sociable and if you view them in a third person point of view you tend to be more extroverted and more sociable. Some people have better memories than others and some memories can affect your daily life like if you where abused by someone you may be afraid of people of that same gender and that can carry on for many years after the abuse ends. Memories can scar you and enlighten you, we all have good and bad memories some people have more good memories, some people have more bad memories but these memories shape us as people and make us who we are today. But memories can also make your day like you could remember the day you went to the beach with your friend and accidentally ate sand. But memories can also cause you to cry yourself to sleep because you where just told that your parents are getting a divorce.

Memories can cause mental health problems. Like if you where bullied in your younger years so if someone says that your fat, or not good enough in some way you may become depressed. But also if you where bullied for being fat that could cause you to have an eating disorder. Most memories depend on other people but you can also make memories all by yourself like you could travel to another country alone and experience all of it alone and it would be wonderful. Memories can destroy you inside and out they can stick in your brain like someone glued them there. Your memories can drive you to the edge, and your memories can keep you from going over. Memories are the foundation of us, we communicate through memory wether it be talking, sign language, or any other form of communication. We have to remember the words we speak, we have to remember the words we learned. Memories can make your life great or they can end it. Memories can drive people to suicide, memories can cause anxiety, post traumatic stress disorder, memories can be dangerous or absolutely wonderful.

Everyone has memories, even a little baby. The memories you have as an adolescent can be taken with you and rest on your shoulders for the rest of your life. So, try to make the best of it while you are young so when you're older you will have amazing memories to look back on. Well of course some memories you don't have control over if they happened or not because sometimes you are put into a bad situation that you can't get yourself out of without something bad happening. Like if someone commented that your fat on your Instagram post you might believe them, but you could also just delete the comment too. Also, cyber bullying can cause bad memories because if you have someone calling you fat all over social media then that can cause really bad memories that can drive you to delete whatever social media you have to try to stop the cyber bullying. But cyber bullying can lead to physical bullying or hopefully they will eventually stop because they get bored.

Memories can be wonderful like one time me and my friend went to the mall for five hours and we sat by one of the doors to finally get picked up and we had about five people compliment her Charmander backpack that she had just bought that day from hot topic and my flower crown I had just bought from Claire's. One other time me and one of my other friends walked from her house to subway which was cool for me because I don't live close enough to walk anywhere interesting. Also me and my family went to Spain over the summer. We went on so many tours, we also stayed in this wonderful hotel place, I stayed up for three days before we left for Spain which sucked. We had a nine hour flight then we had to stay at an airport in Lisbon for five hours, then had a two hour flight from Lisbon to Barcelona which the nine hour flight wasn't fun but I had a ton of fun in Barcelona, Spain. I left my phone in Spain which I cried when it happened. There was this really cool outside shop where you can buy raw meat and these really yummy drinks that had fruit in them. It went by so fast it's truly amazing how fast things that are once happening can become a bunch of memories.

Memories are truly wonderful even if they are awful because I mean you can remember something that happened almost two years ago like how our brains can do that truly amazes me in every way. You remember so much without even realizing it's a memory like remembering your name, how to ride a bike, how to write, the list goes on all of those things you do are from memory like that's insane. Your memories are a truly amazing place or a truly terrifying place.
We use memories every day to walk, talk, kiss, love or hate. We can't feel emotion without memories. We have to learn to hate, love, be happy, be sad, or feel any emotion. We have to have our memory to learn or we would just forget. Like I couldn't even type this essay without my memory because I wouldn't know how to type or spell or write. The whole world is based off memories because without them we wouldn't know how to do anything.

Well in the end every single person has memories weather good or bad, happy or sad ,truly amazing or truly heart wrenching.
