Alan's P.O.V
She is clearly insane but nothing registered in my mind until it actually happened and there was no way to stop it. I ran over to the window she had just leapt from and scanned the floor for her body, it was nowhere in sight, no blood, no gore no sign of her ever existing. I sink down to the floor and everyone walks over to me seconds later. I want to cry but I fear that I may never stop, that was my only problem.
“My god, what is up with you guys, it’s like someone’s died” A voice called from outside. I looked down to see Kat standing just below, hiding behind a stray piece of metal. I stare at her with shock; never in my wildest dreams did I ever think that it was possible for someone of her size to survive a three-story drop. I rub my eyes in disbelief; it was defiantly improbable, if not impossible. “Let’s go” she gestured to us all to jump down towards her. My eyes widened in shock.
“You expect us to jump?” The groans and moans got louder only making my fate come closer if I didn’t move soon. She nodded in response and both Rachel’s jumped, landing softly on an old warn out mattress I hadn’t noticed before. Once I saw all three girls in one piece; unharmed, I jumped and so did everyone else. I landed on the mattress, the springs digging into my side. The pain was none of my worries but what I saw above was.
Kat's P.O.V
“Shit” I muttered under my breath. My plan worked perfectly bar the fact that one stubborn person didn’t jump. “Jane, come one” I yelled at the teen. She just looked frozen in shock. The zombies were slowly gaining on her and she showed no sign of moving. “Jane, let’s go. I’m not leaving without you” I carried on yelling. I felt someone tug at my arm but I wasn’t budging or quieting down. She was still my friend even if she did leave me for the dead the past should be left where it is and in this time of need all is forgiven. Forgive and forget.
“She isn’t going to move” Alan said soothingly. I didn’t care at all, she was my friend and I didn’t want to be a part of another death I couldn’t stop. I shook my head and tugged away, yelling. His grip tightened around my arm causing me to wince at the pain.
“Jane, please” I felt the tears roll down my cheek. I couldn’t believe myself, I never cried in front of others, it was a sign of weakness and could be used against me. “Jane, don’t do this to me, please” I cried out, not caring for the pain or tears rolling down my face. I swear I saw a flicker of life in her eyes but I could have been mistaken.
A loud bang sounded out through the empty street and hundreds on the undead limped through the door, all ambling toward Jane. I screamed once more but they didn’t seem to care, they saw Jane as easy prey and ran for her, she was another meal for them to feast upon. I watched as the first bit into her skin, blood oozing across her once clean top and spilling onto the floor. The tore the flesh of her body and the blood curdling screams were almost enough to make me faint in disgust. She was gone and there was nothing I could do, I was now immobilized by the emotional loss of a friend. I lost all sense in my body, I was numb. I didn’t realise I had been picked up until the scene of her death slowly faded away in the distance, the screams never leaving my ear. I shed no tears after that, I had none to shed. I was emotionally dry and I knew that I couldn’t get like this again or we would be in trouble and it would be all my fault.
A/n: It has been a while since I uploaded. I have had really bad writers block and I have been trying to write another chapter for this.
If you didn't know by now I have a new book out and it would be amazing if you guys read it. Thanks a million...
