Chapter Thirty Nine

Kat's P.O.V

“Alex, you’re alive” Ed called happily, wrapping his arms around the blonde; she started to squirm under his grip. I turned to face the two and Alex looked surprised and the guilt that piled on her face said it all: she’s moved on.

“Oh Ed, I thought you were dead” She faked her happiness as he let go of her and saw the bit wound on her arm.

“You’re bit?” He called, clasping his had around her wrist lightly and examining the bite closely.  “Alex, what happened? Did it happen just now?” the concern in his voice was devastating, it was my fault this was all my fault, even though she fired, she wouldn’t be bit if I didn’t throw myself into the fire to save the lives of the people I care for and Alan.

“Hey Babe, are you alright?” a tall muscular man questioned, walking towards the two standing together in the middle of the road. I watched as the slightly tanned and muscular man wrapped his arm around her shoulder. “Hey dude, you’re alive” He said cheerily to Ed who had finally let go of Alex’s arm. I swallowed hard and walked towards Ed slowly. This is my fault, all of this is my fault, I chanted over and over in my head as I took each step towards Ed.

“What the fuck man? I am gone for what a week and you’re already with my girl? Jason what is wrong with you?” Ed yelled, rage building up in his once calm blue eyes; I was starting to panic, thinking whether or not getting close to him was the best idea. “I trusted you and not only do you turn your backs on me but do you then get together after I left. Shows what little faith you have of me” I took a step closer and stood at Ed’s side looking at the two that had betrayed Ed to drive him to such anger.

“Eddy, I thought you were  dead and Jason was there for me, he was so kind and thoughtful that one thing led to another and it seems to me that you’ve already found someone else and might I say that you have chosen badly” I glared at the blonde head that was stood so close to the muscular man.

“Actually I’m not anything like that, I don’t think of Ed in that way so shut you fat face before you are put down, Barbie” I called, angrily.

“Whoa, Kat, she really isn’t worth it. I thought she was but clearly she isn’t, so I hope you’re happy, you have destroyed me at what cost, you are together? I really hope you guys are happy because I don’t think I can see you guys in the same way ever again” With that he walked off towards everyone in our group.

“What is wrong with him?” Alex questioned, turning to face the muscular man at her side. Her aggressive and venomous personality now turned flirty and soft. I shook my head in disgust. “Hey what are you looking at you psycho?” she spat, looking me up and down. “Oh wait but the looks of it you didn’t completely burn up in that fire” I shook my head at her arrogant response to my death glares. I walked up to her and grasped a hold of her long blonde hair, pulling it from the roots. “Let go of me”

“No you deserve everything you get, you broke his heart. You broke his fucking heart and still you’re standing upright as if you are top fucking dog. Well sorry love but I don’t tolerate cheating bitches or Barbie dolls that use fake extensions and pile way to much make-up on” I spat, pulling at her hair so aggressively. “You are a worthless piece of shit and I may have only just met Ed but he deserves better than the shit you just gave him. ROT. IN. HELL” I said, separately say the last three words and finally letting go of the woman, taking a handful of hair with me.

Alan's P.O.V 

Whoa, bitch fight. I thought as I stared at Kat tugging at the hair of the blonde girl. I had to say she was fucking hot but by the looks of it she was already taken and about to decompose any time due to the bite that was on her wrist. I wished I could know what this was about but the second I saw Ed I automatically guessed that they were his old friends and the girl his ex. I walked over to him and gave him a sorrowful look and before I knew it Kat had joined us and wrapped her arms around Ed before letting go moments later.
