Chapter 26: "The Best Day...?"

TDWT: Miranda's Way (Episode 26: Hawaiian Punch)

Miranda's POV:

I haven't felt this close to the end until now.

Being here, seeing everyone again, and not having any votes to worry about. It was really starting to feel like the finale.

We were about to start recording when Ale came over to me, wrapping an arm around my waist.

"Are you ready, mi dulce?"

Smiling, I nodded. "Yeah, you?"

He scoffed. "I was born ready, darling."

He kissed my forehead, making me smile a bit wider.

He let go of me, taking a breath.

"Good luck, sweetheart."

I bumped his elbow. "You too, dork."

With that, the cameras began to roll.

"Welcome to the live finale of 'Total Drama World Tour'. Moments ago, these guys tied for second in a boat sandwich. Tasty! During the break, we sent them to vent in the confessional. Check it."

So, the clips rolled, starting with Alejandro's.

"I only let Miranda beat me to give her a full sense of confidence because I know how much she needed it. It was very satisfying to see her win, anyway. But how do I explain to those at home that I tied with that pathetic Cody?"

He put a hand on his head. "My brother José will be compiling his insults already."

Next, Cody came on screen. "I made it all the way to the final two-ish! I can't believe how close I am to the million! There's just one massive thing in my way, Alejandro... Against just me! Never thought I'd say this, but...I was Sierra was back in here with me."

I couldn't help but smile at that one. Next was mine.

"I can't believe how far we've come. I'm so close I can see it! But...I don't know if I want this to be over. I've made so many friends here. I feel as though I've been accepted as part of the cast. I've had a lot of fun. But, since I'm here now, I might as well kick some ass."

Alejandro smirked at me. "Good luck having that happen, love."

I rolled my eyes. I saw everyone sitting in the bleachers nearby, cheering.

"Go Team Alejandro! He's even hotter in person." Sadie squealed.

I rose an eyebrow. "Why is everyone in teams?"

"The peanut gallery's playing a major role in choosing a winner."

The peanut gallery cheered, waving flags.

"Sweet. I guess we're all voting on the winner again." Duncan smirked.

I smiled. "Well, can I just say I adore my team? Like you guys are the best!"

"Girl, we got your back!" LeShawna called.

"You got this in the bag!" Gwen smiled.

"We are here for you, Cody! Especially me! Believe!" Sierra cried.

I took another confessional. "Honestly, if they are voting, I hope Alejandro does win. If they aren't, well then, whatever, I'm rooting for him all the way!"

Chris cut in again. "But first, we got to break a tie. Miranda, you won the race to Hawaii, so your reward is this advantage. You can select the tie breaker yourself, or you can let Cody or Alejandro do it."
