I rang Joe's number and it rang a couple times until he picked up.

"Hello" his rough morning voice rang through the phone.

"Hi, I woke up and couldn't find you so I decided to call... Where are you?" I quickly blubbered into the phone and anticipated for the answer.

Honestly, I was kind of worried where he was, was he with someone else?

The thoughts started to fill my mind and my breathing got more rapid while my eyes started to water.

"Relax Gabbie, I stayed at Conor's" he said while quietly chuckling into the phone.

"Alright, but I was worried about you"
"I'll be home soon okay? I promise."
"I'll be waiting Joe"

I said and with that note hung up.

Right now my head was buzzing but I wasn't as sick as I was yesterday therefore I decided to make some coffee for myself.

As I was brewing it I heard a faint noise from the living room. I slowly and quietly took step after step just to find Jack laying on the floor, which I guess explained the noise.

I decided to wake him up but o was unsure what was the best way to do that. I decided I would just lightly shake him as I knew he was not a morning person.

"Yo, wake up" I said in a whisper voice. He mumbled something and turned to his side which I guess made him realise he was on the floor.

Therefore he sat up without opening his eyelid and then a couple seconds later he opened his eyes. I did an awkward smile thing trying to ease his morning but I guess that didn't do much. So I just extended my hand with water and the other with the pain killers.

"Thank you" he said attempting a smile but he failed as all it looked like he couldn't even feel his lips.

"You are very welcome!" I loudly chimed in his ear while getting up from the floor.

"Can you not do it that loud?" He said in a sarcastic voice. "Yes, once you get off the floor and put some clothes on" I sipped on my coffee which was helping a lot because my headache started to subside.

I opened the fridge which was absolutely empty as I guessed it would be. I groaned loudly which I guess distracted Jacks death on the floor because he now sat on the couch giving me a questionable look.

"There's no food" I said taking a seat on the chair facing him.

"Call Joe?" He shrugged his shoulders. "That's a very good idea Mr Maynard. You do have some brain in there" I ruffled his hair and burst out laughing. He stared at me with a straight face but I didn't take that into consideration and just took my phone from the table.

For the second time in today's morning I dialled Joe's number.

"Hello Joee" I sang into the phone trying to sound sweet.

"I was just leaving to go home" he casually answered to me.

"Well you know how there's no food? Could you buy some on the way?" I asked biting on my index finger.

"I will..." He said taking a pause. "...but..."

"But what?..." I asked shrugging my eyebrows as a smile appeared on my face.

"ill tell you over breakfast, my uber is waiting"
