I read the message along many Twitter, snapchat and Instagram notification.

Dear Joe,
We are sad to hear you won't be making to this trip. Thank you for the immediate reply and hope to see you on the next one.

The message was fine however I could not stop thinking that he is not going for me. I've noticed Joe coming back so I quickly slid the phone in the position it was before.

"I'm back beautiful" he says with a cheeky smile. I return the smile half heartedly. He presses the home button and clears all the notifications at once.

"Joe..." I say painfully slowly as he stared at me with both his eyes raised. "I saw the message, please tell me I am not the reason you're not going" I say feeling uneasy I don't want to stop his life.

"Gabbie, I cannot leave you, you have to understand you mean a lot to me and I don't want you to be alone, I want to be here for you" his eyes are fixated on mine the whole statement.

"I understand that but Joe... I can't postpone your life. A couple months ago I was nothing to you, you were living your life and I was not a part of it yet you were still happy" my raise my whisper voice trying not to distract everyone around us.

His eyes fall onto the table as I feel so stupid he doesn't deserve this. He takes my hand. "Gabbie... When you were gone the only thing that kept me going was the fact that you loved me. I kept on I replaying it and it made me so sad because I let you get away I can't afford anything bad to happen to you again" his eyes were brimming tears as he swallowed them back with a gulp.

"Joe,I'll be find just go there for me. You need a break one of us should get away from this and you have the opportunity please go? For me?"

He nods and rubs the back of my hand trying to calm me down.

"Go Joe" I whisper.

"Okay" he answers confidently.

I start to lean in as so does he. We share a kiss and get on with the date talking about little details.
