Jack was taking his shoes and jacket off and I placed it on the heater to dry. "You look good by the way" I saw a small smirk on his face as he looked at me from the corner of the eye. "Yes? Well you don't" I laughed as he was still soaking wet. "Do you want a t-shirt or something to change?" I remembered that I have a couple of men's t-shirts because they are comfortable to sleep in. "If you have something then yes" since a lot of my stuff was still in boxes I struggled to find it but I finally pulled out a baby blue H&M t-shirt from one of the boxes and passed it to Jack. He slowly took of his shirt as I stared at him because I don't know what else to do.

Once he pulled the t-shirt over him the blue bringing out his eye colour nicely. "So what do you want to do" i piled the boxes nicely in one corner so they wouldn't clash with the view of the living room. "I haven't eaten since breakfast actually do you wanna order something?" I was not hungry but in about five minutes I will be so we agreed to have Italian and Jack ordered bunch of food. I connected the wires in the tv and flicked through channels and soon after jack and I ended up watching a scary movie.

The doorbell rang and I opened it to reveal the food delivery guy with two bags of food, since Jack has already paid for it I collected it and said thank you before shutting the door and setting the food on the table. "It smells good" I said to Jack who was still on the couch. "Can you grab some plates out of one of the boxes?" As Jack stood up to look for them the power cut out. Everything went dark except some lights from the buildings through the window. "Jack..." I called out suspiciously.
"It was not me I swear" Jack said defensively.
"I know you idiot what are we gonna do"
"Well do you have candles or something"
"There has to be some in the boxes" I walked up to Jack who was using his phone flashlight to look for plates now. I ended up stubbing my toe on the way and nearly knocking all the boxes down. I leant my head against Jack while grabbing my toe. He was laughing uncontrollably which made me laugh slightly forgetting about the pain. Once he found the plates I found all my candles which let's be honest I'm a hoarder of those. I grabbed a few and set it on the table lightning enough so that we could see.

Once we had some form of light and food served, we started to eat.

"This is romantic" Jack and his smirk was back.
"I don't know how people did this back then"
"Did what?"
"You know, live with candlelight"
"I kind of get it, it's perfect to keep relationships going, work all day don't see each other and once you get home you can only see them in dim lights, for all I know I could be having dinner with Mikey now" I burst out laughing at Jacks remark as he joined me.
"I'm starting to think you set this up" I raised my eyebrow still smiling.
"Me? I wish" I knew from that, that it was something about how things work out.
"We always end up together alone somehow"
"Maybe it's destiny?" He was still smirking.
"I don't believe that"
"I do"
"So what are you trying to say?"
"I think I was destined to have this romantic dinner with this beautiful girl in front of me" he finally smiled, a genuine smile.
"Fair enough" I said finishing my meal. "Fair enough" I repeated quietly to myself
