Through the years, you and Tom did everything you said you would. You made your dreams come true. Ofcourse there was alot of problems in your way but you both made sure you got through it together. You went to Paris after the funeral and after that you just travelled the world. Turned out, Tom's mom left him alot of cash.

Your family planned to move to Malibu so you went home and help pack. When you got to your room it still looks like the way you left it. The clothes you wore on the hospital is still on the chair. Then you remembered the letter your mom gave you before she died. Quickly, you got the paper from the pocket and paused before you opened it.

My dear Y/n,

I never thought this day would come. I wrote this because I have something to say to you, I can't say it to you in personal because I know you'll worry and knowing you, you'll act strong for me and tell me to not give up. But it hurts so much y/n. It hurts seeing you smile when I know your broken inside, and it hurts to see you guys worry about me. When you read this just know I'm somwhere better now. Here it goes.  Cancer runs in our family y/n and I'm afraid you're the next one in line. I'm really sorry. Just remember I'll always be by your side if you need someone to talk to, I'm always here, I'll be listening. I love you y/n remember that.

Does this mean I have cancer now? What?
You just stood there shocked at what you just read. What will I do now? Will I tell someone? Do they already know? What am I going to do about this? What kind of cancer? Why me?

The door suddenly opened and you saw Thomas smiling at you but when he saw you it turned to a frown. Then you realized you were crying.
"What's wrong love?"
You hid the letter from him.
"It's just, I miss mom" he enveloped you to a hug and you continued to sob on his chest. He played with your hair whispering sweet nothings to you.
"I love you Tom"
"I love you too"
