It was quiet when all of us boarded the quin-jet. Loki sat down silently, staring blankly at his hands.  There was a far off look in his eyes that made me choose to take the seat next to him. He didn't look up when I sat down, or even acknowledge that I was there—which was odd because Loki was always observant, even of little things. He was lost in his thoughts.

I clasped my hands awkwardly, fidgeting my fingers. Should I ask again? He obviously acted like he didn't want to talk about it but I was curious.

I didn't get to ask because Natasha started to explain that the other group—group Awesome—had gotten the sand and we were going to meet back up before we went to get the last item.  Loki tensed, and I decided that I should leave him alone for the time being.

I was exhausted.  The quietness of the quin-jet made me realize that.  I hadn't slept in almost two days and it was beginning to take its toll.  I could feel my eyelids growing heavy.  This would be the perfect opportunity to sleep.  I thought to myself before I slowly drifted off.

I was standing in a hallway, only one end of it was lit.  The floor was cold beneath my feet and I looked down to see that I was standing barefoot on tile.  The walls were a blinding white, not a single speck of dirt or dust was visible along it's surface.

I suddenly got the feeling that I was being watched.  I glanced over my shoulder at the darkened end of the hallway.  The feeling got stronger despite the fact that I couldn't see anything.  I pursed my lips and took off in the direction of the light at the other end.

As I got closer, the light began to dim.  Fear sparked in my chest as I froze in my tracks. The light flickered—crackling—until I was cast in darkness. My breath got caught in my throat as I was surrounded by the silent veil.

A soft thump echoed down the corridor and I spun around in that direction. It was followed by quick rhythmic taps on the tiled floor—like the sound of the claws of a running animal.

A deep growl met my ears and a pair of glowing red eyes charged at me. I whipped back around and bolted, my feet skidding against the floor.

I could hear the creature behind me—gaining—the taps getting louder. I whimpered, swearing that I could feel it's warm breath fan across my ankles. My blood was pounding in my head as I forced myself to run faster.

I stepped wrong, my ankle twisting as I fell towards the ground. My hands slammed into the ground, and I cried out as pain shot up my leg and arms. I rolled over onto my back but before I could push myself up, the creature jumped.

It landed above me, standing so each front paw was directly beside my shoulders, pinning me. I could feel it's rough fur against my arms as it leaned it's head down, baring it's teeth in my face.

I turned my head to the side, squeezed my eyes shut and shaking in fear. It let out another deep growl and I screamed. The growling stopped and I felt something start to shake me.

My eyes shot open.

A figure stood crouched in front of me and I started screaming again—trying to push myself away. It wasn't until I heard my name being called and two hands clamp down on my arms, did I stop.

My vision cleared and I was met with Loki's worried eyes. I sucked in a deep breath and started crying.

"Lorien, what's wrong? What happened?" He pleaded softly. I whimpered, feeling sick in my stomach.

"I-it w-was a n-nightmare." I stammered through my tears. My voice was weak, barely forming the words I spoke.

"What happened in the dream?" Loki asked gently. My eyes burned from crying but I didn't dare shut them again, in fear that I would fall back asleep.

"T-here w-wa-as t-this w-wolf like c-creature and and i-it c-chased m-me. I-I t-thought I-it w-was going to k-kill m-me." I whimpered, recounting the dream fearfully. I was still shaking. Loki's jaw clenched, this eyes falling to my wrist.

"It must be a side effect of the mark." His whispered in himself before he pulled me forward to hug me. "It will be okay, we will get the mark off."

We hugged for awhile longer until I had calm down.  I was still frightened but I had stopped crying.  I suddenly felt more pairs of eyes on me and I looked over Loki's shoulder.  That's when I realized that we must have landed because the ramp was down and Tony and Natasha were staring staring worriedly up at me.

"How long have we been here?"  I asked, pulling back.  Loki stood up and helped me to my feet.

"Not long," he responded.  "We landed a few minutes before you woke up."  So that's what the shaking was.

We ventured down the ramp and Tony made his way over to me. He was flanked by Clint and Natasha.

"You doing alright little munchkin?"  Clint asked, probably referring to my freak-out in the quin-jet. I nodded hesitantly, crossing my arms.

"Anyways, I got your sand," Tony announced as he held up a plastic bag of almost black sand. "You better be thankful because on the way to get it I was attacked by a shark." He whined. Clint rolled his eyes.

"You had on your suit, besides it wasn't that bad." He snapped, crossing his arms as well. Tony glared at him, tilting his head.

"I bet it was hilarious." Natasha added, "Did you get a video?"

I let out a laugh, covering my mouth with my hand. Tony glared again—but this time at me—and stuck his hand out to ruffle my hair.  I frowned and narrowed my eyes at him before I went to fix my hair.
