Eir was quiet for a few moments as she stared down at the mark on my wrist.  When she finally spoke, I let out a large breath that I didn't even know I was holding.

"I can cure this, but I will need to collect a few items to cast a healing spell strong enough to counter the death spell."  She explained and a smile crossed my face. I was going to be cured!

"What will we need to cure it?" Loki asked impatiently, taking a step closer to me. Eir turned to face my brother and with a small laugh responded.

"Always so impatient, the spell contains three ingredients that I do not have access to.  The rest I can obtain quite easily."  Eir paused and clasped her hands together.

"First, I will need feathers from Huginn and Muninn, one from each."  She started but was cut off by Skye.

"Odin's ravens?"

"Yes, you know mythology well I see, although not all of it is correct.  Huginn and Muninn are two ravens who fed information to the Allfather from all of the nine realms."  Eir explained before continuing with the spell.

"Second, I will need sand from the deepest sea and last, one of the stones of Freyja."  As Eir finished, I noticed Loki freeze and his eyes become wide.

"A stone of Freyja?"  He repeated, almost in shock.  Eir nodded.

"Yes," She confirmed, her eyebrows furling.  "Do you know of one's location?"

"At one time I did."  He mumbled in response, almost too quiet for me to hear.  Eir's eyes held a look of empathy, she remained silent, not pressing the subject.

"What are stones of Freyja?"  I asked, confused. Eir turned to me.

"Stones of Freyja are small crystals, blessed with protection magic and they are often given to one's wife or husband.  They are extremely rare and they are normally golden or silver." Eir explained and my curiosity was sparked.  Why did Loki get so upset over the mention of Freyja Stones?  From what I knew, Loki wasn't married.  I glanced over at him, he had long since straightened up and hid his shocked expression.

"We should be able to retrieve those items easily."  He explained, holding his hands behind his back.  His voice hadn't completely hid his shock and as he finished, his voice broke.

I frowned, what had happened to Loki that had upset him this much?
