Chapter Seven: What happened when Taehyung finally visited Yoongi at the hospital

Taehyung refused to visit Yoongi.

No, it wasn't that he wasn't happy that the older was okay, and no, it wasn't because he was too egocentric to accept that this was all his fault, if anything it was the complete opposite of that. Taehyung was simply too ashamed.

Ashamed of his actions, ashamed of his thoughts, ashamed of himself.

He was a coward. He was an asshole. And Yoongi didn't deserve to suffer because of someone like him.

So he just, decided not to show his face to the older.

The other members couldn't understand why Taehyung was acting the way he did, but he couldn't care less, because he was doing it all for Yoongi.

And so Taehyung spend about two weeks without daring to visit his hyung.

But he knew he couldn't avoid him forever, he knew he couldn't just pretend he didn't say what he said, because when Yoongi came back, he wouldn't be able to just act like everything was fine.

So one day, he gathered up all the courage he had, and walked inside the hospital to meet his hyung.

Once they gave him permission to enter (because he'd arrive before visiting hours were allowed) he walked towards the room the older was and (just like Jimin) he stood right in front of the door, afraid of what he may encounter. He sighed, and slowly, he opened the door.

To his surprise, Yoongi was already awake, and he had been genuinely surprised to see Taehyung.

"Hi" Yoongi had say, and Taehyung felt completely horrible for not being him the first one to talk.

"Hi..." Taehyung said nervous as hell "H-how are you?"

Yoongi shrugged "I'm fine I guess"

"Oh" Taehyung said nodding "that's good"

Yoongi sighed.

"Why are you here, Taehyung?"

"I-I..." Taehyung felt like crying "I came to... To apologize" Yoongi looked at him as if asking him to continue "I was an asshole and... I didn't really mean what I said that day, about you dying, and... L-look I just..." He looked down to his shoes, not sure of what to say.

"It's fine" Taehyung looked at the older.

"Huh?"

"I said it's fine, Taehyung"

"B-but I..."

"I don't blame you"

"You don't?"

"No, I don't blame you"

"Why?"

"You didn't mean it, you were just heart broken. I get it, I was heartbroken too"

"You don't like me anymore?"

"I don't" Yoongi smiled sadly "but that's okay, Taehyung"

"How can that be okay, hyung? I lost the one person who loves me dearly!" Taehyung was at the verge of crying.

"That's not true, Hoseok loves you"

"He doesn't no, no! If he did... If he did..."

"If he didn't he wouldn't come here crying every day because you don't talk to him anymore" Yoongi sighed and Taehyung just stayed there, motionless, crying.

"I'm sorry, Hyung"  he said after some time "I'm sorry I said that, I'm sorry I kissed you, I'm sorry"

"Taehyung..."

"I'm sorry! Fuck! I'm sorry!"  He fell to his knees and cried. Yoongi got up from the bed and sat in front of the younger "I shouldn't do this, I should be the one comforting you..."

"It's fine, Taehyung"

"I'm sorry, hyung" he said again "I'm just- I'm such a mess..." Yoongi laughed a little taking Taehyung by surprise.

"Same kiddo, same"
