Coda had woken up about an hour before Emma on the forest floor. A mixture of leaves, mud and small twigs were logged in his hair and caked onto his face. He grimaced at the feeling of the mixture as he moved. Slowly he wiped away the concoction on to his sleeve, that was also soiled with dirt and mud.

The air of the forest was cold and the sky was dark and dreary. Coda had his arm wrapped around Emma trying to keep her warm through the horrid night. Gently, he ran a hand down her rosy cheek.

"I wish I could make everything better for you, my love." He said as he brought his forehead to hers and closing his eyes. He stayed like that for a couple of minutes. Letting her breath fan his face as he grabbed her hand and gently rubbed his thumb over her knuckles as he held her close. His back rested against the trunk of the tree.

Not soon after he pulled away and picked her up. His was gentle not to wake her up. Coda cared Emma on his back making his way towards to camp. Emma had not wandered far from the camp in her state of panic. It was dark but, Coda didn't have any problems seeing in the dark.

When he did finally make it back to camp it was early in the morning. The sun was just coming over the horizon and only his father was awake. He was trying to get the fire started by poking and prodding at the flames.

"Hi dad." Coda said as he walked up to the camp site. There was a moment of silents before Jordan said "Where did you go last night?" to his son. However, Coda did not hear as he put Emma in his tent.

Softly he placed her on the blow up mattress he usually sleeps on. Her brushed the hair out of her face before tucking her in and leaving the tent.

His father look up as he approached. "Where did you go?" Was all he said again.

"I was in the forest." He kept it short not wanting his father to treat him like a child. He didn't need to know where he was every minute every day. A frown was set on both of their faces. Anger and annoyance flowed through that air between them.

Before his dad could counter back a comment he was interrupt by the twin. Who, where now yawning loudly and walking towards them.

"Hey, pops." Zack said as he walked up to Jordan and put his arm around his shoulders in a sleepy haze.

"Hey." Was all he said in return as he glared at Coda. "I need to speak with Coda... Alone." Both twins perked up at that.

"What did he do?" Zane asked.

"Something that's not your busyness." Coda lashed out. He did not want to be teased by his cousins or treated by a child. The twins back away with his hands in the air.

"Ok. Ok. Dude chill." Was all they said before leaving.

"Dad I do not want to talk about this. You are treating me like a child and I do not like it." He growled before he heard a scream. Emma was on the ground holding her ears. Coda was suddenly filled with fear. What happened? Is she ok? Go and help her!

Ever since he meet Emma, Coda's wolf has been a pain in the butt. He just wanted his wolf to calm down and let him ask her. Calm down! Calm down! Who the hell do you think I am! I am half of her mate! I have the right to be worried! Her deer called me! She's never done that be for! So sorry if I'm bugging you!

Coda put his hand on Emma's back. "Are you ok?" He asked concern. Emma looked up. Coda could see something was wrong but got lost in her eyes. "Yes." She said bringing her hands away from her ears. From the look on her face she was upset about something. But what?

You need to get that secret out of her! I'm worried! What if some on hurt her? What if someone touched her? When his wolf said that Coda let out a growl. He did what anyone to touch her the wrong way. To make her uncomfortable.

"Coda?" Emma looked at him with a concern and confused look. "Are you ok? You don't look to good." He was upset manly because of what his wolf said and very tired.

"Let's go." Was all he said before he pulled her up to go.

He was walk with his mind full of thought. He didn't even realize that Emma that tripped. And was falling behind. "Coda please don't walk so fast." She cried. He stop. Wow and she trips and didn't even notice. She will get hurt really bad one day and you won't be there. "Just shut up! Your so annoying!" Coda yelled. Emma looked at him with sad eyes.

"I'm.... I'm sorry I didn't realize I was so annoying." Tears fell down her face. "Your not!" Coda blurted out. Trying to calm her down. She was about to run away when Coda grabbed her hand. "Don't run away from me!" He said in alpha tone.

She looked away him and cowered in fear. She was giving him alpha respect. But he didn't want it. Even though he will be alpha of the rogues or his grandpa's pack he did want her to avoid eye contact with him or bow when he enters a room. He didn't what that.

He also didn't want to leave for alpha training. His parents talked about for a week. They where hoping that his mate wouldn't show up until he came back but that wasn't going to happen. He would have to go for 6 whole months. He didn't want to leave Emma but it was going to happen.

"I'm sorry Emma! I was talking to my wolf. His really got on my nerves." She looked at he strangely. Then look at her stomach. "Um Coda?" He grabbed both of her hand in to his. "What is it?" Coda asked looking intensely at her. She looked at him. "I'm hungry."

Coda laugh. He thought she was going to tell him something a lot worse then she hungry. "Ok. Do you want to go to town? There are some great dinners there."

She shook her hands out of his, clearly still mad. "Yes." She was still probably still felling the effect of his alpha tone.

He started to walk towards the camp. There where 2 pack trucks and 3 pack cars. They were all parked outside side the camp.

Coda just got his full license about a month a go.

He hoped in the grey truck that he drives the most. Emma follow. She was a little scared of the truck. To Coda, is seamed she has never been in one. She hop in the passenger side.

"Have you ever been in a truck?" She looked at him angrily. "Yes of course!" She looked around. She watched Coda put on his seat belt on and copied. He grabbed the steering wheel and turn on the car.

Emma screamed and try to jump out. She open the door but the seat belt kept her in. She was panicking. As the seat belt dug in her skin. "Calm down. It's supposed to do that!" Coda said say he wrapped his hand around her body. She instantly calmed down. "Ok just shut the door. It ok. Just trust me."

She shut the door. He grabbed her hand in his."Ok the truck is going to move. Ok. You can not jump out. Ok." He said vary seriously. She nodded her head.

Then coda pushed down on the gas pedal and they started to move. Emma griped the sides of the truck.

"So how come you never been in a vehicle before?" She looked at him. "Um. Well I lived in a herd of about 135 deer and we only have one car." Coda looked her every once and a while. He tell she was vary nervous. "So only Caleb and a few other guys use it. They go and get everything we need." Just hearing her said his name with no hint of fear or anger made Coda mad. Emma was still holding on to the car for dear life.

"You're going to be fine." He smiled at her and put his hand on her thigh. As the drove on the dirt road.

Ring! Ring! Emma screamed making Coda swerve.
