Tears rolled down Coda's face as he stared out into space. His mother gently stroking his cheek.

All he could think is why. Why had this happened to him? What had to take place for her to fall for him so strongly? Coda grips his shirt in the fist of his hands. Anger coursed through his body. He could feel the almost sour burning in his chest, that made him want to punch something.

"Just go, mom." He finally said after hours of laying in the dark. He rolled out of her touch. He no longer felt comforted by his mother's touch. It just made him delirious with anger at the thought.

"Hun you know me and your father are just worried about you. We don't want you to do anything drastic," she said as she tried to brush some of his hair out of his face. "Emma left." She said barely louder than a whisper. Her eyes cast downwards as she tried to touch and comfort him.

Coda quickly swatted her hand and left the tent, irritated. Roughly he pushed past the twins at his tent door. They were waiting to see what happened. Coda didn't look at them. He could not let them see him like this. So broken and angry. Zack and Zane know that following would only lead to Coda's inevitable blow up.

Coda darted through the forest. Not even bothering to strip, he shifted. The wind dried the tears that ran through his fur. His eyes are still glossy. He started to pant instead of whimpering. As he pushed his body to the limit, he felt his sadness and anger turn into determination.

He needed to contact Emma. He started to push on the wall she put up. His wolf giving him strength. He slowly felt Emma open her mind to him after he pushed and pushed. 'Emma' he called out in a weak voice, that he wanted to be strong. He could feel her pain and regret and tried to shut him out. 'Don't' His voice gaining in power and authority. 'How could you do this to me? I gave you everything and you lied to me. Even when your brother was yelling at you about that alpha being your mate, I still stuck up for you and how do you repay me? By leaving! Are you leaving me for him? Or are you just running away from your problems?' He growled in frustration and his throat was sore from unshed tears. He eye becoming more and more glossy the more he thought over the questions. How? How could she leave him for some other guy? And though it pained him to yell at her for being unfaithful and betraying him, it still angered him. Coda was flustered. His hand clenched at his sides, his eyes hard and he paced back and forth.

'I'm sorry' her pain leaking through her words as it cracked.

'I don't want to hear it!' His wolf taking over. 'Just tell me where you are and I will come and get you.' He huffed and his shoulders sagged.

'I can't Coda. I'm sorry. But, I will make everything better ok. I'm really sorry'

'What the hell are yo....' She blocked him out before he could say more.

Growling loudly, he started to run again. This time push harder than ever before. His legs burned and his muscles ached. Not soon after his lungs started to burn.

He came upon a stream. The water was rushing at a steady pace. Fish fluttered there tails to swim upstream. The tree branched brushed against each other adding to the sounds of the river.

He jumped in after he shifted back into human form. The fish scattering away and abstracting the path of the water. He pushed and slashed the water. Trying to get his frustrations out.

Never has he been so mad, sad, angry and confused all at one time. He was anger at Emma for lying to his face and leaving him. He could see why she did it, but it did not change his feelings.

He stayed in the water for an hour. As the water rushed passed his legs, he started to let go of his anger. Bit by bit he felt more tired the more he let go of his emotions. Slowly he lifted his face to the sky. Clouds rushed by. They were fluffy and spaced apart from each other. The heat of the sun slowly burning his face and blinded him.

"I'm going to find you," Coda said before changing into his wolf form and running east.
