This chapter will be in that pass again following Kadan and Emma. Hope you in joy!
Kadan sat at the side of his bed. He was dressed in his active wear. A red tee-shirt and gray shorts. His hair was getting pretty long and fell in front of his face.
Emma walked in to his room giggling. She threw her body at him and he caught her with ease.
"Hi, baby." She giggled as she started playing with his golden locks. She was straddling his lap as she smiled at him. He grinned at her as he leaning in and blew on her neck to make a farting noise. She fell back into his lap laughter bursting from her mouth.
"What had gotten you all giggly about?" Kadan question while raising an eyebrow. She shook her head as she kissed the side of his mouth. She laid back down and stared up at Kadan. Slowly she rubbed her hand over his face. Her eyes sparkled.
"How did I get so lucky to have fallen in love with you." She whispered her eyes slightly glossy.
"I don't know Love. How did you?" Kadan said as her rubbed his nose on hers. Right here. This is the moment Emma never wanted to leave. She felt so loved and she thought no one could love her as Kadan does.
"I don't want you to go out there." Emma said. Tears stung her eyes as she held back tears. "You could get hurt."
"I know love, but I have to. I have been waiting for this my whole life. I need to show my dad that I can be the alpha." He said determination in his eyes.
Kadan's dad had declared that there will be a tournament today that will tell who will be the next alpha. Most alphas just hand it down to their oldest child but for some reason, he decided to not let Kadan be alpha. But in the rules, it says you either hand it down to your child or hold a tournament. The tournament was for alphas who never found their mate and never had kids. Yet it never says you have to hand it down to your child. Around 20 other male entered. Only two real competitors for Kadan.
Emma felt fear course through her body as Kaden stood up. All of her giggles, gone. He walked to the door but Emma caught his hand.
"Please don't go." Tears pricked at her eyes again. "We can leave the herd and live in the city or even on a farm, get married and have children. Just please don't go." She tightened her grip on his hand.
Kaden turned back to her and bent down to her level. "Love, you know I would do anything for you, right?" She nodded. "So please don't ask this of me. You know this is my dream and it is not because I don't love you, I just..." he sighed and looked away from her. "I really want this." He said. He eyes told her everything. She could even feel it through the bond.
"Ok" she whispered putting her forehead on his. Tears streaming down her face. He smiled his eyes closed as they just enjoyed each other company.
