It had been hours since both Jasper and Emma woke up. The second the sun hit Emma exhausted figure she was up and walking. She had walked an hour before a disoriented Jasper woke up, confused. He shifted and followed her scent until he found her leaning agent a tree to tired to move. But the sight of Jasper pushed her to keep moving.

Jasper's freckles reminder her that Coda is the reason she is doing this. She kept stumbling and slightly gliding of course. Jasper could see that she should stop and at least eat something.

"Hey, Emma?" He called out to her. She just ignored him and just kept pushing. "Hun." This time he grabbed her arm and gently pulled her back causing her to stumble and fall back into Jasper. "We need to stop. You look like you are about to pass out. Did you even sleep at all?" He asked as he placed her on the ground.

"Just stop it, Jasper. I need to get there as fast as a can. I don't care about myself anymore. I don't deserve to eat anyways." She said as she slowly blinked and pushed herself up. Tears bubbled at her eyes and a throbbing pain started in her chest.

"No. Not good enough." Jasper said as he threw her over his shoulder. "If I was Coda I would want to know where you are by now and be worried out of my mind. So I'm going to carry you to the next town and we are going to get something to eat and stay in a motel until tomorrow."

He was right. She could feel Coda pushing at her mind link wall, trying to reach her. She could feel his worry, sadness and it killed her. The lest she owed him right now is to let him know that she is safe.

Slowly she open her mind to him.

'Emma' a weak voice called out. She could not bear it and tried to shut him out again. 'Don't' he said. His voice gaining authority and had an edge to it.

'How could you do this to me? I gave you everything and you lie to me. Even when your brother was yelling at you about that alpha being your mate, I still stuck up for you and how do you repay me? By leaving! Are you leaving me for him? Or are you just running away from your problems?' He growled in frustration.

Tears fell from Emma's eyes. The pain in her chest incrested at him yelling at her for being unfaithful. 'I'm sorry' Her voice quivered as well as her lip as she watched through blurry eyes, the ground move when Jasper walked.

'I don't want to hear it!' His wolf taking over. His voice was strand and slightly deeper. 'Just telling me where you are and I will coming and get you.' he huffed.

'I can't Coda. I'm sorry. But, I will make everything better ok. I'm really sorry'

'What the hell are yo....' She blocked him before he could say anything else. Jasper could hear her whimper as she cried.

"He is so mad at me." She sobbed. "He will never forgive me."

Jasper sighed. "let's just get some food for you to eat before going into any more depth."

----------------------------(Later)------------------------

They were at the edge of a small town called 'King's burg'. It was quiet and no one was walking along the streets. It looked abandoned to the two new comers.

"Do you think you can walk?" He asked. No response. "Come on Emma. Wake up." She just groaned as he placed her on her feet. He rather not get arrested for what looked like a kidnapping. A grown man with a young girl thrown over his shoulder.

They walked down to a small cafe. When they walked in the smell of coffee hit them in the face. Emma scrunching her nose at the smell and Jasper moaning.  Small reprinted pictures of coffee, coffee beans and teas surrounded the small cafe. A old lady sat on a chair behind the counter with a big smile on her face.

"Hello, welcome." She said. "I haven't see you here. Are you new around here." Jasper just nodded, putting his hand on Emma's back and whispered in her ear.

"Don't look back but we are being watched." He said. Two men walked into the cafe. Both built and clearly trained in combats. They walk to the bathroom and that made Emma calm down. Who would be after her?

"How about you sit down and I will get us something to drink and eat. Maybe talk to Coda again?" Emma tried ignoring the rising feeling to cry in her throat. She nodded and walked to a booth near the window. The wind looked like it was picking up and dark clouds rolled in.

As Jasper was making the hard decision of picking out food for the both of them, the two men came back.

"Hey beautiful." one of them said as he placed one of his hands on the table. He arm was the size of one of Emma's legs. She look at Jasper, who was look at the muffins. "Alpha want us to collect you. You know Kaden." She looked from Jasper to the beefy men.

"Ok," Emma whispered. "But can I just talk to Jasper." The two men looked from Emma to Jasper.

"Fine. But just know alpha won't be happy." He smirked. She nodded. Emma got up from her seat. Everything hit her in the face. Dizziness is all that she felt walking over to Jasper. She stumbled and clutched to the sleeve of his jacket.

"Jasper. They have come to get me. So you can go home to your mate. Ok" The thought of him leaving her with the two men tariffed her. But, she also didn't want to get him involved. Her hands shook and she gripped his jacket to conceal it.

"No can do. I can't do that to Coda." Emma pushed back her hair behind her ear.

"Please don't come. It's not going to turn out well and I don't want you to get in the middle of  this." She said knowing that she could not win this argument but she would sure as hell try.

"Go home to your mate and pack. I don't want to have your blood on my hands." She said walking away ignoring his calls to her. She walked to the two men. There eyes burning holes in her head. "Ok I'm ready to go," she said as tears stung her eyes.

"No" Jasper yelled as one of the men held him back. The other led her to the car.
