When you step into your room, you are greeted by a sight of the girl. She's sitting on your bed, staring out of the window, where the midnight moon is shining brightly. The lights are off, causing bright strips of light from the window to glow from the ground.

You tiptoe quietly into the room, not to disturb her. But then, your ankle cracks, and she whips her head towards you, surprised. You smile. "Hey..."

You stare at her face, surprised. She has a painful expression on her face, her eyes holding so much more sorrow than a child her age should feel. There are small tears lining her cheeks, and the corners of her lips are pulling downwards.

You sit down across the bed from her.

"What's wrong...?" You whisper

She wipes her tears from her face. "I... It's nothing..."

You frown. "I... Don't lie to me."

She doesn't say anything back, and you frown even more. She suddenly stands up. "I'm sorry."

Then, she walks out of your room, closing the door behind her. A few seconds later, you hear the front door open and close.

You sigh in the darkness. It is so untypical of her to act like that, so something really bad has to have happened for her to be like that. Or... or she's always been like that, and she's acting positive to hide her actual self.

You look at the clock. It's 12:36 am.

Someone knocks on the door, making you jump. "Who is it?"

Then it comes to you that it could only be one person. Ed.

"It's me." Ed's voice says.

"You can come in."

The door opens and Ed steps in. He closes the door behind him and turns on the lights. You recoil at the brightness, and your hand goes to the three scars on your cheek.

Ed sits down next to you. "Did... Did you see that?"

"Yeah... I don't know what happened though."

Ed doesn't say anything, and neither do you. It doesn't feel awkward, though.

"(Y/N)...?"

"Hm?"

"Can you tell me... What happened that day?"

You knew instantly what "day" he was talking about.

"Yeah, there was nothing much, though. But you have to promise to tell me what happened after I was gone."

"Yeah. Okay."

It doesn't take long to tell Ed everything. After all, there wasn't much to tell. You avoided telling him about the words you heard, though, because that is still something you have to think over.

"So... Basically... You fainted because of unknown reasons and was stuck under the ruins of the exploded buildings for what? Five days? And there were piles of dead bodies?"

"Yeah... Basically. So. Your turn."

Ed seems to hesitate.

"Well..."

The wall explodes, and an army of people in police uniforms stream in. Small bits of concrete and wood blows everywhere, and the entire building collapses.

"(Y/N)!" Ed yells, panicked. He tries to run towards you, but something is surrounding his arm, holding him back.

An ear-splitting scream fills the entire alleyway, and Ed winces, struggling against his constraints.
