It's dark when you open your eyes. The clock reads 1:47 AM.

You stand up shakily, the cold marble of the floor sending shivers up your spine.

You walk out of your room and go into the living room, where you see a sleeping Al on the couch and a probably still unconscious Ed on the opposite couch.

The moon light streams through the window, giving the entire room an eerie, blue glow.

In the scarce light, you see how pale Ed is, he's almost as pale as a vampire. He's still on his stomach, and the bandages are bled through.

You suddenly realize how big of a mistake it was to leave him here while you went to sleep.

You rush to the couch Ed is on quickly, and pick up his wrist, feeling for a pulse. There's definitely movement, although the jump of his veins seem to be inhumanly slow.

What scares you, though, is the coldness of his arm. It nearly sends the same shivers of cold down your spine as the ones the marble floor does, and it's not even his automail arm.

The cold seems to seep from his hand into your body, sending waves of cold through you.

You shiver and drop his hand as pessimistic thoughts echo through your mind, the same ones that had driven you crazy the day Ed tried to attack you.

You close your eyes and take in a deep breath, attempting to clear your head of these thoughts. It barely works.

The odd voices and swirls of sounds echoes through your mind, leaving you feeling vaguely faint.

When you open your eyes again, you are brought back to reality, and you see how pale Ed is. You start to wonder if he's unconscious, or if he's merely just asleep.

Judging by the amount of blood on the once pearly white bandages and condition that Ed is in, you know that you have to take him to the hospital. But how?

You surely couldn't piggy-back ride him there, that's too tiring. You could use your alchemy teleport-y powers, but that was too wasteful of your own blood.

Don't be mistaken, you tell your self. I'll do anything for Ed.

As the thought crosses your mind, you blush a bit, but push the feeling away and focus on the situation at hand.

Behind you, Al gives a soft snore, causing you to jump. You quickly turn around, wondering how you're going to help Ed to the hospital.

You don't know what to do, really. But in the end, you decide to attempt to half-drag and half-walk him there.

Slowly, you swing your arms around Ed's body, hoisting his limply heavy one onto your own.

Your back and knees protest as you allow him to lean entirely on you, but you ignore them.

By then, Ed had one arm swung over your neck, and you're supporting his seemingly boneless body with your right flesh arm, wrapped around his torso.

You slowly begin to make progress already.

When you reach the front lobby, though, you're breathing heavily and starting to sweat a bit. The air around you feels oddly warm, and heat courses through you, like you had just run a mile at top speed.

You press on, and when the door opens, a blast of cold air greets you, relieving you of the heat.

The snow goes all the way up to your knees, and you know there's no way the position you're in now will work out.

So, you decide to try to carry Ed bridal style without hurting his injured back. Awkwardly shifting his position, you continue on your midnight trek to the hospital.

Ed's cold body causes you to panic, and you start to try to rampage through the thick, white snow.

When you finally reach the turn ahead in about twice the time it normally would've taken you, you find yourself hoping you're almost there and panting a bit from the exertion.

Nevertheless, you push on. Sooner than you thought, you are in front of the huge courtyard that almost belittled the hospital building itself.

The courtyard, though, is covered in knee-high snow, burying the planterns. Only the tops of a few deep green benches are showing, and the few bare trees gloomify the mood with its naked branches and harshness.

You cross the courtyard, trying hard not to collapse, and stumble into the warm building quickly.

What you see, though, brings your mood right back down to zero.

There's a doctor standing behind the front desk, his thin lips pulled into a smile and gaunt eyes looking angrily around.

You hiss, all the struggle you had been through moments ago disappearing.. "What are you doing here?"

The  doctor holds up his hand in greeting, giving you a small wave. Sure enough, you catch sight of the neon green watch.

You grunt.

You highly consider just turning around and leaving, but you decide that that's not really a good idea, as you had spent a lot of your energy carrying Ed here.

Instead, you snarl. "What are you doing here?"

The doctor grins at you, though not without narrowed eyes.

"I'm here to guide guests like you."

You give him a deep scowl as he looks at Ed.

"Third floor, injuries."

He points towards the stairs. "There you go."

You cast him another withering look before follow his instructions and beginning you climb the stairs.
