You seem to stare into those beautiful eyes for hours. Your legs are made of jelly, and you feel like you're going to collapse any second. Your mind and heart are racing, and you don't even know what's happening, or what to do. The world slips away, and you see Ed, and Ed only, his tinted cheeks, his golden eyes, and those inviting lips. His face is so close to yours that you can feel his soft breath caressing your cheek.

But when you finally make the decision and start to lean in, Ed suddenly blinks, as if pulling himself out of a trance, and pushes you away. He plants both of his palms on your chest and forces you away from him, but you can feel the weakness in his arms. He turns a darker shade of red, and blurts:

"Ha... ha..! I-I got you! N-now tell me where y-you went!"

You feel something heavy dip in your chest, but you don't know what it was. Disappointment, maybe? Your face heats up immeasurably and you stare at him, at a loss for words and completely confused.

"I... I didn't go anywhere! I was hiding from you!" You lie smoothly, changing your look from flustered to maybe a bit cold. "Now, I'm going to get my drink."

You turn around and head for the drinks section of the buffet, leaving Ed gaping at you from behind. Taking this time by yourself to think, you recall all the quick events that happened just now. Ed's hand grabbing yours, staring into his beautiful golden rice, meaning in, but... Being pushed away. The same knot in your stomach tightens, and you feel frustration running through your veins.

You quickly grab a cup and browse through the wide variety of drinks this simple countertop offers. There were a wide variety of drinks, from teas to hot drinks to juices. You fill your cup up with (favorite/drink) and just stand there, thinking. You don't know what to think of the situation, and you're really frustrated. You turn around and walk back to the table, sitting down in front of your food.

Ed is sitting across from you, stabbing aimlessly at his food with his work. It was quite a surprise, seeing Ed not want to eat his food for the first time. But, in Ed's defense, you don't feel like eating either, despite feeling hungry moments ago. You set your drink down after taking a small sip and pick up your utensils. The table is awkward, despite the small hum of conversation buzzing through the air.

Ed is avoiding your eyes, and you appreciate that, as you don't really want to look at him right now. You didn't know what he was thinking, or, for that matter, what you were thinking, but it made you feel sad that Edward refused to kiss you.

Maybe it had been an accident. Or maybe Ed was really trying to joke with you. That thought made the knot in your stomach knot again, becoming a double knot.

You try to eat your food, but after eating only about a quarter of your plate, you feel full already. There's nothing to do, the table is awkward, and you know you ought to do something. You stare at Ed, but he doesn't meet your gaze, and looks to the side instead. You take a deep breath and sigh. You can't even tell if he's noticed you or not, and if he has, he shows no signs of noticing you.

You stab your fork into the food piled up on your plate, and shoved him into your mouth, chewing, but not really tasting anything. You swallow the lump and examine your food carefully, not appetizing anymore.

Why had Ed done that? Why did he grab your hand, and stare at you, so close that you could feel his breath, but yet not kiss you? You sit back on your chair, putting down your utensils, sighing. What had you done wrong?

And then it all happened so quickly. Ed suddenly leans forward, grabs your hand, and pulls you out of your chair. He stands up, pushing you forward.

You feel your face turn red quickly. But what Ed does next is completely unexpected. You look at him, and his eyes are wide, filled with fear, and his mouth is set into a thin line. You're suddenly even more confused than before.

Without warning, a loud bang! reverberates through the room, causing a sudden hushed silence to fall over the entire room. Outside, you can hear the sounds of terrified people and screaming kids, parents ordering their children around and children and taking shelter. You suddenly know what's up.

You turn around, looking away from Ed, everything forgotten at that moment, and run for the elevator. You hear a loud bang echoing in the street outside.

You can hear the terrified screeches and screams of parents and the loud cry of children. Another, loud bang! Sounds really closely to you and Ed. The ground shakes as the sound travels to the ground. You look to your right and see a staircase exit instead of the elevators. You start heading in that direction, as the elevators are on floor 17 currently. The staircase is crowded. There are many people squeezing up-and-down the staircases, and you hear lots of crrazr and cussing. Another bang! rings through your ear, and you know you have to get to the ground.

You squeeze past everyone, holding Ed's hand firmly and pulling him through the crowd. Before long, you're at the lobby. Outside, the screeching sound is even louder, the terror filling you up. You wonder what is happening.

You quickly let go of Ed's hand, rushing towards the door. The main door is open, and it's snowing It is a sunny-ish day, with some clouds above the sun, but it's probably not a problem.

You look around. It's complete chaos. There are people and children running around in circles, bumping into everything, and not even looking. There are specs of dirt everywhere along the floor, and not very far away, there's a bomb ditch in the ground.

Bam!

You're forced backwards as something in front of you pushes you back. Snow and dirt flies up everywhere, and you're suddenly gliding through the air in slow motion.

You can hear someone calling your name, but you're too dazed to listen. Something bad is happening, and that's all you know.
