"Hehe, I see the little girl again."

"Oh, look. She has an automail arm."

The first voice scowls. "She'll pay for that."

You walk down the path to your house, humming. You had great news to to tell your parents.

Suddenly, a figure jumps out at you and covers your mouth, dragging you behind the bushes beside the sidewalk. Your eyes widen as you recognize the face.

"Recognize me, girl?" He smirks.

"I see you got automail. Did you keep your promise?" Another voice pipes in.

You nod frantically, trying to get out of the man's hold.

You pull out some chalk from your pocket and attempt to draw a transmutation circle on your hand.

The man wipes the dust off.

"Ha! Unlikely."

The other man pulls out a knife. "We'll make this quick." He looks at you with a psychotic look making you squirm.

The knife travels towards you and you scream into the man's hand.

You watch in horror as the knife buries deep inside of you and you black out.

"(Y/N)! What happened-"

You had a huge, gaping slit in your chest above where your heart should be. Blood pools beneath you, staining the grass and dirt beneath you, along with your clothes. The girl gasps and screams, running towards your house. She throws open the the front door.

"Mrs. (L/N)!" She yells loudly. Her eyes were full of panic and they were tearing up. Your mother rushes to the door to see the girl.

"Oh, (Best/Friend's/Name)! What happened?"

"I- I saw (Y/N) on the street and... And she's dead!" She blurts out everything.

The woman's eyes harden. "Stop lying, please."

The girl shakes her head desperately, crying.

"I'm not, please. Believe me. She's dead."

You force your eyes open. The blank ceiling was empty and a late afternoon sun shone through the window. Your neck was sore, and you raise your right hand to rub it. It comes away with blood smeared all over it and you stare at it, confused.

Did I get into a fight again? Did I-

Your eyes narrow as you remember.

Right. I went crazy and Ed tried to kill me.

You sit up abruptly. Ed tried to kill me.

"(Y/N)...?"

Your head whips to the side at the voice and you inhale sharply. When you see Al sitting on the edge of the bed, you relax a bit. Your stomach felt oddly hollow, and it growls in hunger. You smile sheepishly at Al and stand up.

"I'm gonna go get something to eat." You say, heading towards the door.

"But-"

"It's okay, I can manage."

"But you have a deep cut in your neck." You stop breathing for a second. Your hand freezes on the doorknob. Without saying anything, you continue forwards.
