Chapter 5: The Day it all started

Dan's POV

I woke up to the sound of my alarm clock ringing in my ear, I groaned loudly as I turned it off. Rolling over to the other side of my bed not wanted to get up at all. But I knew if I wasn't up mum would yell at me to get up, I sighed loudly and finally forced myself to get up stretching my arms over my head I rubbed my eyes to get rid of the dust that was stuck between my eyelids and grabbed a shirt and some sweatpants and made my way into the kitchen.

My younger brother Adrian was in the kitchen buttering some toast while reading the back of a cereal box.
"Morning" I mumbled as I walked to the cupboard to grab a mug and some grounded coffee. "Hey" Adrian said still focuses on whatever he was looking at, "Has mum gone out?" I asked, he looked up from what he was reading. "Er yeah she and dad just left for work but they'll be back later." Adrian said getting up to out his plate in the sink. "Right I'm off to play cricket with some mates, mum also wanted me to tell you to actually do some studying and get some work done." As he grabbed his bag to head out, I rolled my eyes and sighed, "yeah okay I'll get some work done, just go do your thing" I said, "right I'll be back for lunch, see ya." He said shutting the door behind him.

As I finished my breakfast I took a shower and picked out some black skinny jeans and a grey t shirt to wear. I straightened my hair but before I got any actual work done I got on Twitter and checked my messages.

I suddenly saw I had a message sent to me from this guy on YouTube who I tweeted a couple of times and we exchanged chats here and there. He was pretty cool and I constantly asked him for advice for being on YouTube and how to start my own channel. I had been thinking about it for a while, and yesterday I actually did.

I posted my first video called 'Hello internet'. It is my very first video and I tried to explain myself as much as possible. It's not very good but I tried my hardest, even if I do sound like Winnie the fucking pooh.

It's really not my fault I sounded posh- I mean articulate!!! I mean I was surprised that people where actually watching my video, some people must have a LOT of free time.

I clicked on the message and opened it up.

@Amazingphil: hey, would you maybe like to Skype or something?

I froze. Wait, and actual Youtuber wanted to Skype and talk to me? I was completely shocked. I tried to get this guy to notice me for ages and he actually did. I messaged him back saying:

@Danisnotonfire: yeah sure, that would be cool. :)

I instantly got a reply.

@Amazingphil: cool, my username is amazingphil on Skype. :)

@Danisnotonfire: mine is danisnotonfire, I'll add you. :)

@Anazingphil: awesome can't wait.

I couldn't speak. I brought up Skype and found him. I instantly added him and I saw he added me back.

I didn't know him very well, I knew he's name was Phil and that he joined YouTube in 2006, he was a pretty funny and cool guy who just talked about he's every day life which sometimes was funny. He had black hair that was exactly like mine, he's fringe was just on the other side. I would ask him for editing advice and he would be so nice enough to actually reply to some 18 year old weirdo who just stalks people on the Internet.
