Chapter 2: Melt my Heart

Dan's POV

Phil folded his arms and smiled slightly "ok who the hell are you!" He said chuckling, I gave him a confused look " ummm? Phil what do you mean?" I asked him.

He shrugged, "You seem so happy now, I like this type of Dan. You were never like this, I remember you always contemplating life and complaining all the time. You've never been positive about anything before, why now Dan? What's happened to you?" Phil looked confused as he stared at me as if I was a completely different person.

I smiled at him "Phil, I'm still the same guy it's just that so much has happened in the past 16 years, I mean I never appreciated life and what we could accomplish we been through so much and done so much from our tour, to our books, our BBC radio show. This is probably the happiest I've ever been in my entire life." I told him sympathetically, Phil smiled at me looking down at the sand shuffling his feet.

"So.....what's the best thing that has happened in your life so far?" Phil asked looking up at me. I opened my mouth to say something but I was interrupted when I heard the most beautiful voice I had ever heard.

"DADDY! DADDY!!!!!" I instantly turned around and saw her.

My beautiful daughter, I smiled and as soon as she saw me turn my head she sprinted towards me, her gorgeous wavy long brown hair flapping behind her as she ran, for a small human she ran surprisingly fast ever since she was a baby she loved to run.

I started running towards her, excitement rushing through my body. Her bright pink flower skirt flapping in the wind as she ran wearing her white flower sneakers splashing sand everywhere from each step she was taking. Her pink locket bouncing around her neck, the locket I have her when she was born with her initials Engraved on it and she refused to take it off.

I opened my arms as she ran into them as I scooped her up as her small body pressed up against my chest, her small fragile arms wrapped around my neck I hugged her and never wanted to let go I wanted to hold onto this moment forever. Every time I see her she always smelled so sweet; a mixture of honey and vanilla her hair draped around her shoulders so soft and silky.

She let go of my neck and placed her tiny doll hands on my shoulders looking at me, every time I saw her face I fell in love with her all over again. She had her mothers pixie face and her cute button nose and that smile, she had the most gorgeous smile I have ever seen it completely melts my heart. She has her mothers features and smile but there is one thing she had of me. Her eyes. Her beautiful hazel eyes. Every time I look into them I never want to look away.

She was my beautiful daughter, I loved her ever since she was a black and white image on a scan. Ever since I saw that scan I fell in love with her. And when the day came I finally got to hold her for the first time my heart melted and I nearly cried (okay I actually cried) but who wouldn't? she was perfect. My little girl. My little Isabelle.

"I missed you daddy" she said looking at me with her perfect hazel eyes. "I missed you too sweetie, how have you been? How's school, honey?" I asked her.

"It's been great daddy! We've been learning about the dinosaurs that lived millions of years ago and mummy helped me draw a dinosaur to show Mrs Roberts and she gave me a gold star!" She said excitedly, I always loved it when she got excited.

I laughed;

"I'm so glad honey, maybe you'll be an explorer one day?" But she shook her head rapidly.

"No daddy! I want to be a Youtuber like you and uncle Phil!" She said smiling. I looked at her and just smiled

"Well. We will talk about that later darling. Ok?" I said, and she nodded.

"OI! Where's uncle Phil's hug?" Phil said pouting slightly but giggling. Isabelle laughed and scrambled out of my arms as I placed her on the sand.

"UNCLE PHILLY!!!" She exclaimed as Phil laughed as her picked her up and hugged her swaying her slightly. "How have you been izzy?" Phil asked her, "Great uncle Philly look! look! I lost a tooth" she said as she opened her mouth slightly to show Phil her gapped teeth "And the tooth fairy came and gave me two pounds!!" She exclaimed excitedly. Phil gasped and smiled at her "You lost a tooth? Your growing up to be a big girl!" Isabelle giggled at that.

"Isabelle! Isabelle! Come and wish mummy goodbye sweetie!" I heard another familiar voice say.
Jess was my ex girlfriend and Isabelle's mum, she had gorgeous brown wavy hair like Isabelle and a stunning pixie face. She was gorgeous like her daughter, her short blue dress blew behind her.

She always had a small slim body, she was stunning. When me and Jess where together the most amazing thing I loved about her was her gorgeous blue eyes, Isabelle was just like her mummy, beautiful and kind. I pray and hope Isabelle will be just like her mum, not only beautiful but intelligent and brave. Jess had never been afraid to speak her mind or opinions, she had been like that the day I met her which is what made me fall in love with her.

She never controlling or judgemental, she would always put people before her and always gave her honest opinions of what she thought was right or wrong. It's what I still love about her to this day.

Phil put Isabelle down one the ground and ran to her mum to hug her goodbye. "Bye bye mummy! I love you!" Isabelle said looking at her mum while hugging her, "Goodbye sweetie be good for daddy and uncle Phil. Okay darling, I'll see you Monday. I love you so much" she said kissing her forehead as she ran off to go play with Phil.

"Hello Dan." Jess said smiling at me, I smiled back. "Hi Jess, how are you?" I said, I always tried to not make it as awkward as possible and at least tried to make small talk, but to tell the truth was it really? I mean, we tried being really good friends because we have a child together but the word 'awkward ' wasn't really right for this situation. Or any situation to be honest.

"Very well, thank you. Dan, I want to thank you for taking her. I've just been so busy lately and I thought she could spend some more time with her dad" she gave me a kind smile, "My pleasure I always love having her about" I said was I looked at her playing with Phil as he threw her about like a rag Doll as Isabelle giggled hysterically as she flew about and I chucked slightly as she did.

"Thank you again Dan, I'll pick her up on Monday. Tell Phil I said hi will you?" She asked kindly as she handled Isabelle's suitcase and her favourite stuffed pink elephant. "Of course, I'll see you later" I said. "Bye Dan" she said and walked off her hair blowing in the wind behind her as she walked out of sight.

I sometimes wonder how people walk in and out of people's lives, I never understood it. But somehow people made it so easy, I know Jess would never leave Isabelle she loves her too much. But would she ever? The pain and agony people must face when they break up and leave they make it look so simple and easy, when in reality it must kill them.

"Daddy! Daddy! Come play with us!" Isabelle said tugging my jumper sleeve and running off to play with Phil. She looked so beautiful when she ran her gorgeous hair bouncing. Every time I look at this beautiful little girl. I feel like a different person.

Hope you guys enjoyed what do you think of little Isabelle?It took me forever to come up with a name for dan's daughter but I found Isabelle so cute and adorable I picked that name for her! I also wanted Jess to be exactly like her daughter and I hope I got her character right. Love you guys thanks!!
