Chapter 18: Small things make a big difference

Dan's POV

Waking up with someone felt amazing, Jess laid there on my chest her head moving from each breath I was taking. She looked so beautiful sleeping, her hair flowing behind her and her hand gently placed on my chest.

I smiled and gently planted a small kiss in her forehead and she moved a little. She opened her eyes slightly and looked up smiling at me. I gave her a feather light kiss on her lips and she giggled.

"Morning." I said quietly as Jess rubbed her eyes and moved her head her chin rested on my chest so she was looking directly at me.

"Morning Dan." She smiled at me kissing me on my lips and I grinning.
"Have you been up long?" She asked and I shook my head, "No only for about 5 minutes, you looked so beautiful sleeping." I told her and she blushed smiling.

"Thank you, my brothers claim that I snore. But I think they just say that to annoy me." She said giggling and I chucked. "You were as quiet as a mouse." I told her brushing some of her wavy hair out of her face.

"Except you! You snore!" She said giggling as I scoffed. "I do not!" I complained and she laughed and planted a small kiss on my chest, I smiled at her putting my hand in her cheek and kissed her passionately while she ran her fingers through my hair. We parted and she rested her head in the crook of my neck as I wrapped my arms around her and sighed loudly. Jess then lifted her head slightly, "What time is it?" She asked and I rolled over grabbing my phone.

"8:47am?! I've never woken up this early." I said chuckling slightly as we resumed our comfortable position and we laid there in silence only hearing the sounds of our breathing, it was actually quite relaxing.
"Shall we go get some breakfast?" I suggested and Jess nodded, "sounds good, but do you have a t shirt I could borrow?" She asked.

"Yeah I'll just find one in my wardrobe." I said pecking her lips as she smiled trying to find my boxers I picked the up and put them on before heading to my wardrobe.

"Is this okay?" I asked holding up a long sleeved red checkered shirt, "it's a medium, so it might be a bit big for you." I said, "No that's fine! Thank you Dan." She said putting on her underwear as I passed her the shirt and I found a grey t shirt and put that on. Jess slipped into my t shirt as the sleeves went past her hands and she giggled. She looked insanely cute.

"I look silly!" She exclaimed laughing, I walked up to her and put my hands on her cheeks as she smiled at me and I kissing her lips as she put one hand on my cheek.

"You look beautiful." I told her pecking her lips as she giggle and blush a bright red. 
"Thank you. Now let's get some breakfast!" She said taking my hand as we went into the kitchen.

"Dan, can you get that bowl for me?" Jess asked and I laughed slightly as she put her hands on her hips annoyed.

"Don't make fun of short people! It's not my fault your so tall!" She proclaimed chuckling. I grabbed a bowl down from the shelfs and held it high in the air making her jump up to get it.

"That's not funny Dan! Give it back!" Jess said laughing but annoyed, I moved it away slightly which made her huff in annoyance. "I'll give it to you in exchange for a kiss!" I told her and she rolled her eyes but smiled kissing my lips lightly and I handed the bowl to her. "That wasn't so hard!" I said and she pushed my shoulder slightly, as we laughed.

"Dan you are so adorable but a pain in the ass!" She said putting the bowl down on the kitchen table and I shrugged. "Basically sums up my life. Look what you dragged yourself into Jess." I said laughing slightly as she giggled, but as she sat down she hissed in pain.
