Chapter 32: When The Time Is Right

Dan's POV

Jess was near towards having the baby and we were getting more more and more busy and organising everything for the baby.

Shortly after finding out Jess was pregnant, we thought it would be cute to take pictures of her belly growing everyday and make a video combining the photos from the everyday progressing the growth of the baby and upload it to YouTube.

Jess was getting more exhausted by the pregnancy everyday and I could tell it was weighing her down. We've been worried because she's been having false labour multiple times and it starting to freak us out. It's just her body getting her ready for when the time comes, but it's still scary knowing that she's close.

Phil was out for the day with Tommy and Becca while me and Jess were sitting on the sofa watching TV and Jess started giggling and I turned around and looked at her.

She was balancing her tea mug on her stomach and I started laughing.

"Hey! Hey, look in doing it see!" She said and I continued laughing and she removed it and slumped back huffing.

"Are you okay?" I asked her and she nodded my sighed heavily.

"I've just been so exhausted lately coming to an end with this whole pregnancy thing. I know it'll be over soon and I'm gonna miss experiencing everything, and then what's next?" She asked and I chuckled taking her hand and stroking it with my thumb.

"A little girl is what's next. Jess, we're going to experience having a baby in our lives, she's going to be perfect and that's very scary. But we'll do it together. I promise." I told her and she smiled and I kissed her stomach leaning on it as she giggled.

"Is she moving? Can you feel her?" Jess asked stroking my hair.

I felt tapping against Jess's stomach into my ear, she was probably hitting Jess's stomach with her tiny hands; she's been doing that recently a lot.

"Yes, she's tapping you're stomach with her hand." I said and Jess giggled and I sat up looking at her and smiled.

"Why are you staring at me like that Dan?" She asked grinning.

"Because you're beautiful." I told her and she scoffed.

"More like fat." She stated smiling and I shook my head.

"No way. You're Beautiful and glowing, and you have the cutest baby bump I've ever seen." I told her and I held her hand and she pecked my nose and nuzzled her head in my shoulder as we turned back to the TV.

Jess then gasped in pain and I turned to her and she had her hands clutching her stomach and started panting.

"Are you going into labour!?" I panicked thinking that she was going to be early, the baby was due in February and not any sooner or later. Jess couldn't have her now.

Jess shook her head and carried on breathing heavily.

"No, no. It's false labour again." She said putting her head between her legs and breathes heavily as she squeezed my hand as I rubbed her back.
