Before stepping through the gates that would lead to my new life, I looked up at the advanced school looming over me.
Hope's Peak Academy.
People would say that if you came here and managed to graduate, you would be set for life. It sounded like an exaggeration to me at first, but it's true. To attend, the school has to scout you out itself, which is why I was so surprised to receive an acceptance letter in the mail.
My name is Kazuki Nozomi, and I'm known as the ultimate author. I never really saw myself as that, I just love to write, and publishing my work has helped out my family a lot, so I kept at it. I never expected to attract the attention of the best school in Japan.
No matter what people called me, it didn't help that I was extremely nervous standing in front of the school. I kept questioning if I was really good enough to be here, but if the school had scouted me out then I must be.
Taking in one last deep breath, I walked through the school gates. As soon as I did, my vision grew blurry and blotchy, my head roared with pain, until finally, everything went black.
