It was not long after the morning announcement that I heard a knock on my door. I was already up and dressed, so I calmly approached the door to meet a familiar smiling face.

"G'morning Kazuki!" Satchiko greeted cheerfully. She seemed to be going back to being her usual cheerful self, and I couldn't help but smile at that myself. I had missed her happy personality brightening up the mood.

"Hey, Satchiko." I responded, "What's up?"

"I was just about to head over to the warehouse to meet everyone, so I'm just stopping to tell you to come too!" Satchiko explained. "You can go on over without me, I still gotta convince Katashi to leave his room."

I gave a small nod. "Okay, I guess I'll see you there."

As soon as she mentioned the warehouse, I knew what we were going to be talking about. Did anyone find a clue that could lead to the mastermind?

Almost everyone was at the warehouse now. The only ones missing were Satchiko and Katashi. I looked around at everyone, who were all standing silently.

"Did someone find something out about the mastermind?" I asked no one in particular.

"Let's wait for the others." Jikkō stated, "I wouldn't want them to miss out on anything."

As soon as she finished talking, Satchiko walked in the door holding Katashi's hand and dragging him behind her. "Sorry we took so long." The lucky student said with an apologetic smile, bringing Katashi over to the group.

The pianist really was a wreck. His face held an empty expression, his blue eyes lacking brightness. I couldn't blame him, two of his close friends had died not too far apart from each other. It seemed that Satchiko was all he had left.

"Alright, now we can get started." Jikkō stated.

"Okay!" Mai spoke up, "well, I was thinking, this town is pretty remote. If you don't have family here you probably wouldn't know it even existed. So, the mastermind must have grown up here or something! I mean, to use it for a killing game you kinda have to know the area."

"You know you're just putting suspicion on yourself." Michio pointed out.

Willow shook her head. "The mastermind wouldn't be so stupid as to make themselves suspicious."

"Unless that's what they want you to think." Michio continued. "Although, I don't think Mai would be capable of something so advanced."

Jikkō glared at him. "You go from playfully teasing and being annoying to just being an asshole and back again. Can you just choose one and stick with it?"

"Oh, c'mon Toki, you know you love me~" Michio teased, proving her point.

Jikkō pulled her bandana higher, her glare growing more intense. "I told you not to call me that."

"Hey, Satchiko!" Mai quickly intruded before things could get too heated. "Didn't you say you were gonna investigate on your own? Did you find anything?"

"Well..." Satchiko looked away, a small nervous smile on her face. "I wasn't going to talk about my discoveries in case the mastermind really is one of us... you guys have the right to know everything, but I don't know who it is yet, and I don't want them to know how much I know."

Mai slowly nodded. "I guess that makes sense... I really hope it isn't one of us though! You guys are all really cool...."

"Yeah..." I responded. "I think we all hope that. But that just means we have to work even harder to find who it is."

"Yup!" Mai exclaimed. "I'm gonna start thinking about people I used to know here, and if anyone was evil enough to do this."

"Good. That could help..." Jikkō said. "I don't like that you won't share anything, Satchiko, but I understand why. Just keep investigating, and if you find out who it is let us know."

"Of course!" Satchiko responded.

Jikkō nodded. "I guess that brings this meeting to an end."
