Eventually, Katashi turned to look at me with a worried expression. "Do you think... something happened to Satchiko?"
I didn't know how to respond. I didn't want to think about the possibility... but in this situation, my mind could only go to one place.
"Let's go look for her." I suggested, and Katashi quickly nodded. We both got up to leave the warehouse, and quickly made our way back to the hotel. The first place we went was of course, Satchiko's room.
Katashi approached the door, checking the handle. It turned and easily opened... That can't be good.
With a tight feeling in my chest, slowly, we entered the room. I looked around, and with a small sigh of relief I realized there was no corpse. The room looked to be in shape as well, no signs of a struggle. Maybe Satchiko had just forgotten to lock her door.
"Should we tell the others that... well, we don't know where she is?" I asked.
The pianist nodded. "Yeah, that would be best... the more people searching the better."
After a few minutes, we had everyone gathered in the restaurant. They all looked confused, as we hadn't said anything yet.
"So, what's this all about?" Jikkō was the first to ask.
"We can't find Satchiko..." Katashi responded. "We were supposed to meet up with her and she didn't come, and she's not in her room."
"Seriously?" Michio said, his eyes growing wide in shock. "Then, we have to find her!"
"Yeah," I agreed, "I think we should split up and look for her."
"W-what if she's..." Mai spoke quietly, her voice shaking. Willow moved closer to her and intertwined their hands comfortingly.
"She could've just gone somewhere on her own. We shouldn't make any assumptions." Willow replied.
Mai gave a small nod. "Yeah, you're right... well, let's get looking."
So we all split up, searching the entire city. After about an hour of us all searching on our own, we met up again to find that no one had found anything. We then split into groups, with the same results. After a few more hours, finally, we gave up for the night.
As I laid in my bed, all I could think about was Satchiko. Where is she? Is she hurt? Is she okay?
The questions wouldn't leave my head, no matter how much I told myself they had to be answered soon. After all, there was no way to leave this city... was there? She had to be around here somewhere.
I didn't get any sleep that night.
