The room was a good size, and appeared clean and well kept. I closed the door behind me, locking it as well. The walls were a light beige colour, and the carpeted floor was brown. Inside the room was another tv screen and a security camera, along with a wooden desk, a chair, and a bed with a white blanket. At the back of the room was a door that I assumed led to a bathroom.
I sat down on the bed and let out a long sigh. Surely, someone would come rescue them, right? An entire class of the country's best students going missing... it would definitely cause a public outcry.
Then again, I had no idea where we even were. This small abandoned city could be well hidden, so relying on authorities might not be the best course of action.
I laid back on the bed, exhaustion consuming me. Even with the day's events swirling in my mind, I was able to quickly come to rest. Before falling into the land of sleep, a final thought popped up in my brain.
Would any of us actually commit murder?

"Rise and shine everyone! It's now 7am, and night time is officially over. Get up and greet this day with a smile!"
I groaned, awaking to the sound of Monokuma's annoyingly cheerful voice. I opened my eyes to see the tv screen turning off, I guess that had been another announcement. Yet again, I was faced with the reality that I really was trapped here.
I slowly got up, stumbling out of my room and making my way downstairs. Hopefully they had coffee here, or I might've really killed someone.
I walked down a wide hallway, seeing large doors on the wall. This had to be the restaurant. Pushing the doors open, my suspicions were confirmed, as I was met with what appeared to be a large dining room with many tables. At one side of the room, there was a long counter with a variety of breakfast foods, along with juice, water, and a coffee maker.
I immediately headed to the coffee maker, grabbing one of the provided cups and filling it to the top. Before I could do more, a familiar voice broke into my mind.
"Kazuki! Over here!"
I turned around to see Momo waving to me from one of the tables. Sitting next to her was Mai, who was stuffing her face with pancakes. I walked over to the two girls, sitting in the other chair next to Momo.
"Good morning Momo, Mai," I greeted, taking a sip of my coffee.
"Mornin'!" Mai replied enthusiastically through a mouthful of food.
"Good morning... hey, Kazuki," Momo started, playing with a strand of her long pink hair. "I was thinking of exploring the city some more today, since I didn't really get a chance to yesterday... would you... wanna come with me?"
"Sure," I replied, giving her a small smile. "All I saw so far was this place and the mall, exploring some more is a good idea."
"Great!" Momo grinned.
Soon, more of our classmates started entering the restaurant, until almost everyone was there. Haru stood up from where he was sitting, looking around at everyone. His black hair was slightly messier than the day before.
"Does anyone know where Jikkō, Natsumi, and Michio are?" Haru asked, and everyone stayed quiet.
"They might be sleeping in, or they just didn't feel like coming here." Satchiko pointed out.
"That's true..." Haru responded. "But I think we should all start meeting here every morning after Monokuma's announcement."
There were no complaints, and everyone seemed to agree.
"I'll go find the others then and tell 'em!" Mai stated, standing up. I only now noticed that her plate was empty- she ate fast.
"I'll go with you." Ichiro volunteered, getting up as well.
Everyone started to go about their own business once more, and I quickly finished my coffee. I felt a slight tug at my sleeve, and looked to see Momo standing next to me. "Hey, you ready to go?" She asked.
"Oh, yeah." I said with a nod, standing up as well. "Let's go."
