I kept reaching forward, ignoring the announcement. I needed to know what this said, it could change everything.

Michio put a hand on my arm, and I stopped, giving him a confused look. "What're you doing? It'll only take a second."

"And then we'll be distracted the entire class trial." Michio responded. "We can look after, but this trial is about who killed Satchiko. Discussing the mastermind now would be a waste of time."

I narrowed my eyes at him. "What if it's gone when we get back? Satchiko could've been right, and this could be our only chance to... M-Michio, w-what are you--?" I felt my face heat up as the blond was leaning closer. I felt an arm wrap around my waist, and Michio was so close I could feel his warm breath on my ear.

"Forget about it, Kazuki. Let's catch ourselves a killer." Michio whispered, before stepping away with a casual smile. "Well c'mon, let's go. "

I felt as if my face was on fire, and I quickly pulled up my hood in an attempt to hide it. I really wished I had a bandana like Jikkō right now. Michio's little chuckle at my actions really didn't help. I decided to just listen to him and go to the class trial without looking. He had a good point, after all, we couldn't be distracted.

It didn't take long for us to all be back in the trial room, in our usual spots. Once everyone was in place, no time was wasted.

"So, was Satchiko smashed into the wall? It was really bloody." Mai started.

Jikkō shook her head. "No, the weapon was more focused in the middle of her face. Looking at the wound, it's obvious that a wall couldn't do it."

"I saw a bloody bat in the corner." I spoke up. "Could that have been it?"

"That sounds likely." Jikkō responded. "But I hate that the time is so vague... what is last night supposed to mean?" She asked Monokuma.

The bear shrugged. "Last night. But I guess I can make it a little easier- last night before the night announcement."

"That does help..." Jikkō muttered, "so, where was everyone last night?"

"Willow and I were in her room." Mai stated.

"I think I was in my room." Michio said.

"Me too." I said, "I wanted to sleep early."

"I, too, was in my room..." Jikkō said, then looked to Katashi who hadn't talked at all yet. "Where were you, Katashi?"

Katashi quickly looked up, snapping to attention. "I-I was... looking for Satchiko, near the arcade...."

"Great, so only Willow and Mai have strong alibis." Jikkō let out a sigh. "Are there any more clues? So far, we've only narrowed it down to four."

I searched my brain, trying to think of something to bring up, but I couldn't think of anything. Was this it? Were we going to fail?
