I quickly stood up, leaving the room and heading towards the stairs. I just wanted to get away from Michio as soon as possible.

"Kazuki! Wait!" I turned around as Jikkō approached me. "I want you to come with me. Mai and Willow won't be any help, Katashi broke, and I don't want to go alone."

I gave a small nod, though I didn't know where she wanted to go. "Sure... I just need to check something first."

"Alright, I'll come with you." Jikkō responded, and together we headed back up the stairs. I headed straight to Satchiko's room. I needed to know if she was right.

We entered her room, and I immediately went to the wall of sticky notes.

I know the mastermind. Their name is-

I removed the note covering the rest of the sentence, and stared at it in awe.

I know the mastermind. Their name is Michio Zetami, and I think he's going to kill me... or worse. I'm scared.

"She knew..." I breathed out. Satchiko really was right... that must've been why Michio didn't let me see. I silently cursed myself, I couldn't believe I let him distract me like that.

"She... recovered her memories. But how?" Jikkō said, looking at the wall as well. "That must be why Michio killed her cat like that, and took her life too... she knew so much."

I gave a small nod, feeling a pain in my chest at the thought. Michio revealed himself anyways, so was Satchiko's death really for nothing?

"The world is in a state of despair..." Jikkō read off from one of the notes. "I wish she was still around, I have so much to ask...."

"Me too..." I muttered a reply, then turned to Jikkō. "We can come back later... where did you wanna go?"

Jikkō hesitated for a moment before responding. "You'll see."

"The sewer?!"

Jikkō only nodded, pushing the lid aside and uncovering the passage down to the sewers. "Yes. This was all sealed off before, so there could be something important down there."

I shuddered. "I know why you want to go down there, but...."

"Do you want to find some answers or not?" Jikkō asked, raising an eyebrow.

I let out a small nod, slightly nodding. "Yes...."

"Then come on." The assassin replied, beginning to head down the ladder. With hesitation, I followed her down.

Reaching the bottom, I finally found my footing on solid ground. Everything was dark for a moment, before I heard a click and suddenly there was light, though not much. Jikkō had turned on a flashlight, and meeting her gaze, she beckoned me.

Together we made our way through the sewer, walking at the areas closest to the walls to avoid stepping in water. It was disgusting, to say the least. I had never been in a sewer before and it was not an experience I ever planned on having.

"Keep an eye out for anything suspicious." Jikkō said, her voice echoing.

"Like that door?" I pointed to a steel door a little farther down that I had just noticed as she spoke.

She nodded, and headed towards it, me following close behind. Once we got there, I realized there was a numbered lock keeping it closed.

"One minute..." Jikkō told me, bending down to the lock as she got to work. Great, she can pick locks or whatever too. Though, Jikkō actually had a logical reason to be able to do that.

Within seconds, the door was unlocked, and the black haired girl pushed open the door and walked inside. I followed her in, and immediately stopped once in the room.

Directly in front of us, we could see the back of an office chair, and on the wall in front of the chair was a large screen. The screen was split up into many different sections, each small rectangle showing an area in the city. Was this... footage from the security cameras?

"You're back." A female voice spoke shakily, surprising me.

I completely froze. It wasn't the fact that someone else was in the room, but that voice... I knew that voice.

A few seconds of silence passed before the girl spoke again. "Michio?"

"It's not Michio." Jikkō responded. I looked at her, seeing that her hands were in fists, and she seemed uneasy. She must've noticed too.

The chair slowly turned around, and what I saw left me in shock.
