My Best Friend

Chapter 1

TIM POV: Finally it's senior year! I so can't wait to get out of high school. I'm planning on going to college in Louisiana where I'm originally from. My mom moved us to Mississippi my junior year in high school. My sisters didn't care but I did. I was on the football team and played basketball. I was on my to a scholarship but that all went away when we moved. My mom got a job offer she couldn't refuse. I guess I can understand that. She's always tried to do whats best for us and always puts us first. She was married to my stepdad Horace but divorced when I was about 10 years old. He was abusive. He treated me like his son even though he wasn't my real dad. My real dad is Tug McGraw, we talk every now and than but we aren't real close. He said he would come to my graduation, but I won't hold my breath on that one. The one good thing that happened to me when I moved here was meeting my girlfriend Faith. She's so beautiful and smart. I really love her. She's my first one true love and I want to spend the rest of my life with her. As I walked the halls to get to lunch and see Faith, I couldn't help but think about the future. The future with her. I get to  the lunchroom and didn't see Faith. Wonder where she is. Than I felt arms wrap around from behind. I smiled "you know I do have a girlfriend" "oh yeah? well she must be pretty special" "she is" Faith than turned around and we laughed "Hi Beautiful" I said and gave her a kiss. "so wanna go to our usual seating place?" "Yep" We went outside to the picnic tables and sat and ate lunch. "I can't wait for school to be over! Can't believe we graduate in one month!" "yeah me neither, but it's also kinda sad in a way" "What do you mean?" "Just being around friends and stuff" "Yeah but you will still see your friends" "yeah but most are going away for College. Some are staying but.." "Hey are you reconsidering Louisiana?" "Kinda, I don't know. Tim I want to be with you but I just don't think college is for me. I want to move to Nashville and start a music career." I smiled "Than I want to go with you"  "Really?" "Yeah, I've been thinking a lot about that also" "You have?" she said surprised "yeah I bought a guitar a few months ago and learned to play it" "how were you able to afford a guitar?" "I pawned my class ring" "Tim!" "Hey it's okay, this is something I wanted to do. Anyway after playing I started to sing and realized that I want to try it and if it doesn't work out, I will find something else to do with my life. I just don't want any regrets and I don't want you to have any either" She smiled.  "okay well it's about time for us to get to our next class" "yeah okay, so will I see you later?" "yes of course" "cool, see you later, I love you" "Love you too" I gave her a quick kiss and than we were on our way to our next classes. I couldn't help but smile the rest of the day.  I'm going to persue my dreams and have Faith with me. It doesn't get any better than that.
