Chapter 4

FAITH POV: Graduation is coming up. I already told my parents my plans and they were so supportive. They told me they just want me to go after my dreams and they know how much singing means to me. I just hope I can make it. I already started to apply for jobs so I can get by till I can get my music career up and going. I did get a call back for a receptionist job at a record label. I have a phone interview later today. I'm so excited. I just need to get through this day at school. This is the last week and than I'm done well except for graduation in a couple of weeks. After school I went straight home. I waited by the phone. I am so nervous. Than the phone rang. "I GOT IT!" I yelled "hello" "Hello is this Faith?" "yes it is" "Hi this is Nancy, manager at Warner Brothers Records, so we got your resume and you don't have much experience" "I know but I'm a quick learner" "Okay it says here your a high school student?" "yeah well I'm almost done. This is my last week. Graduation is in 2 weeks" "oh well congratsulations" "Thanks" "Can you tell me about yourself?" "yeah, I am a good student at school, grades are good. I'm graduating one of the top of my class" "Have you had any work experience?" "yes I do. I worked at a local diner as a waitress" "Ok. well when will you be here in Nashville?" "I'm leaving after graduation, so in two weeks" "okay how about this, when you get to Nashville, I want you to give me a call. I would you like for you to come down here and we will give it a try. Like a trial run for a day and see how you do. If you do good, than the job is yours" "Oh wow really?" "yeah you have a very nice, sweet voice" "Why thank you!" "you're welcome, well I will see you in two weeks" "Okay thank you bye" "bye" I was so excited. I may have gotten a job. I'm one step closer to my dreams and the best part is I will have Tim there with me.
