Chapter 2

FAITH POV: I had no idea Tim was interesed in music. I don't think I've ever heard him sing before. It surprised me when he told me he had pawned his class ring. I know that had to be so hard on him. I just hope he doesn't regret coming to Nashville with me. After school I met up with Tim. "hey are you going home?" "yeah, need a ride?" "Yes please" "okay lets go" I got in his truck. "Tim can I ask you something?" "of course, what is it?" "Are you sure you want to skip college and come to with me to Nashville? Because I don't want you to regret this decision" "I'm doing this because I want to. I've actually thought about this for awhile now" "you have?" I asked surprised. "yeah but I didn't want to say anything" "why not?" "Because I didn't want you and my family to be disappointed in me" "Do they know?" "no not yet. I'm waiting till after graduation to tell my mom" "oh wow" "hey, I promise you I'm doing this because I want to" I smiled. "okay" "can you come over my house for a little bit?" Now?" "yeah I have something I want to show you" "yeah sure, I just need to call my parents to make sure it's okay" "Well we are just about at my house. So when we get there, you can call from there. If they say you need to come home, than I will drive you home" "Okay sounds like a plan" Once we got to Tim's house, I called my parents to make sure it's okay.  "Tim." "yeah" "My  mom said its okay, but I can only stay about an hour, than I have to be home" "Okay this won't take long, come have a seat" he said. I sat down on the couch. He than comes over and sits by me and pulls out this old beat up looking guitar. He than started to play it. "so I wrote this for you" he said.  He than sang one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard. "wow" "did you like it?" "no I loved it! I didn't know you could sing so good" "yeah well I never thought I was that good. I used to sing a lot riding in 18 wheelers with my stepdad Horace. But when he and my mom split up, I just never really persued it" "well you have an amazing voice" I than kissed him. He smiled "thanks. okay so ready to go?" "yes" After I got home, I went to my room and did my homework and than I couldn't stop thinking about Tim and Nashville and that song, was just amazing!
