Chapter 7

FAITH POV: I really haven't been feeling well on and off for the past over a week now. My friend Lauren and I are going to the mall to get an outfit for graduation tomorrow. We were at the mall looking around when I suddenly felt so sick. "Faith you okay?" "I don't know I feel like I'm going to throw up" I said and ran to the bathroom. I made it just in time. I came out and washed my face. "You look really pale Faith, maybe you should go home" "yeah I'm sorry" "no don't be, we got our outfits" I smiled "yeah" "okay lets go" She than drove me home. "Okay well get some rest, we have graduation tomorrow, you can't be sick" "I know." I than thought of something. "OH NO!" "Faith what is it?" "I just realized something" "What is it?" "I'm..late" "how long?" "I don't know I think by just a few days" "oh that's nothing, cycles change. It's normal" "yeah probably and I've been so stressed lately" "I'm sure that's it" "Yeah but just in case, do you mind coming with me to the drug store?" "yeah sure" "We than left to the drug store. She came in with me while I got what I needed. We than went back to my house. "Want me to come in with you?" "yeah could you?" "Of course" We walked in my house and of course my parents had to be there. I quickly put the bag from the drug store in my other bag so my parents wouldn't see and question me. "Hey girls" "hey mom, dad" "so did you get your outfit for tomorrow?" "yes" "Well let me see" I looked at Lauren and she looked at me. "What's going on?" "Nothing dad, I just want to wait till tomorrow to show you both" "okay fine" "thanks, come on Lauren come to my room" "okay" We went up to my room and I closed the door. "That was close, I can't let them see this" I said holding up the test. "yeah, so are you going to take it now?" "I don't know if I can. What if my parents or brothers come in and see it?" "yeah true, so what are you going to do?" "Hold onto it for now and besides I'm probably not..you know pregnant. I'm sure with the stress of everything from graduation to moving to Nashville and that job.." "yeah I'm sure that's it. Well I'm sorry Faith but I need to get going" "okay I will see you tomorrow, Thank you for coming with me" "No thank you" we laughed and I walked her out. I than went back to my room. I lied on my bed and stared at this pregnancy test. I than heard someone coming. I quickly hid it. "hey Faith" "yeah mom" "You okay?" "yeah fine, just got sick at the mall" "oh wow, well get some rest okay, you have a big day tomorrow" I smiled "Okay thanks mom, I love you" "Love you too sweetie" she than left. That was too close. I than felt really tired and fell asleep.
