"Drew? Drew Adams?" Asked my best friend Lauren surprised. "Isn't he like, out of high school?

"Only a year out!" I protested back.

"He's Emily's brother right? I didn't really notice him in school at school at all, did you?"

"I guess I saw him a few times at lunch or something... But no, I have to tell you something! But you can't tell anyone!" I said, I just really couldn't wait to tell someone! Nothing like this has ever happened before to me! Lauren lives for cheesy love stories, and now that her own best friend has one then she will be more then interested.

"Seriously Blair, common, who am I going to tell! So now tell me! Tell me everything about your older man." I could hear her smirk through the phone.

I told her my story from start to finish. She was so interested in it she didn't interrupt once except maybe the occasional "Aww" or "You did not!" or "Are you sure you weren't in a dream?".

"So you Blair Ross are falling for Drew Adams." she said as if trying to process this into reality, "I never in a million years saw this coming."

"Believe me..me neither.." I took a breathe "I think I might want to get a job at Papa Chubby's so I can get time to see him without sneaking out." I had just came up with the idea, ain't I clever!

"Oh you are good."

"I know!"

"I miss you..."

I paused for a minute, I could tell by her voice she really meant this. "I miss you too, so much...I'm not sure how I'm going to get through the summer without you."

There was a moment of silence. "You know your parents aren't going to let you guys date right?" She said with concern

"Yeah I know.." I knew it was true, my parents would never let me date someone that much older then me.. "That's why I want to get the job!"

"Blair!!!!!!!" my mom yelled from down stairs.

"I got to go, I'll text you." I told Lauren

"Alright, bye, love ya!

"Love you too!"

"Do you have any job openings?" I asked the manager, a man who was about my height but probably weighed around 300 pounds, I guess he really is Papa Chubby, not to be mean or anything, just telling the truth.

"Actually, we do have room for one more waitress." He said happily, he seams like a really jolly man, kind of like Santa without the beard and red suite. Instead he was in a Hawaiian shirt, khaki shorts and flip flops.

"That's perfect! Well I would like to apply!" I said with enthusiasm.

"How about Saturday at 9am you come in and we'll have a chat."

"Do I need an application or make a resume'?"

"No worries! I'll have an application there but you don't have to worry about anything except for showing up on time!" He said with his quirky smile. I think I could really like working here!

"Alright, well see you Saturday!" I said and walked out the door to see Drew walking into the building. He smiled as soon as he saw me and that made me smile.

"Hey you. You're not even going to order anything? You just came to see me didn't you?"

My heart skipped a beat as he was talking, I was so happy to see him again. "Close, but no. I actually was asking about a job opening."

"Oh really?" he looked pleased.

"Yes! They have an opening for a waitress."

"I'll be sure to ask to be your mentor."

"Mentor? Dang."

"Yeah of course! I'll teach you my ways!"

"Uhuh.. Well I better go, seeya."

"Text me sometime okay." He said starting to turn around.

"Yeah." We stared at each other one last time before I turned around and headed to the jet ski.

~~~~~~~
Saturday was here and I was ready for the interview. I didn't really think I would have a problem getting the job besides the fact that I was so young. I had been texting and snapchatting Drew a lot the past couple of days. We hadn't snuck out at all the past couple of days. Our only way we communicated was through the phone. One night he called me around midnight and talked till 3am, our conversation flew to different topics anything from Disney movies, to different conspiracies about the Loch Ness Monster. How we even got on those topics I have no clue. We also talked about our date which I loved talking about.
To be quiet honest, I missed him. A lot actually. I had only known him for less then 3 weeks and seen him a couple of days before. But I loved being with him and I really had no other friends here to hang out with so I felt lonely. He made me feel free when I was around him, and there was no boundaries to the things I could talk about with him. That night we had together still was on replay in my head and I just realize how much I want to see him again. This is the first time I wanted to see someone this badly.
Anyways... I went to Papa Chubby's around 11am and went to Mr. Gaskell, the manager, but he told me to call him Chubby so I guess that's what I'll do.
Chubby took me back to his office, I'm not really sure if it's big enough to be qualified as an office though. He asked me questions about my job experience and qualities that would make me a good waitress and a couple of others.
"Your hired! Will Monday be a good day to start?" he exclaimed.
Well that was easy. I though. "I thought you said I have to fill out an application?"
"Nah, your fit for the job, you don't need to fill out one. So will Monday work?"
I was quiet satisfied with myself. "Yes! What time?" I asked.
"You can come in at about 10am. Oh, and just look for Drew he's ganna be your mentor the first few days until your comfortable on your own."
I smiled, "Will do! I guess I'll see you Monday." I wondered if Drew had said something to him.
As I was walking out a voice I had been wanting to hear said "You better be ready Monday, being a waiter is hard work."
I turned around to look at him, "What ever you say, mentor."
