Many firsts

*Shelby's POV*

I rolled over and noticed Louis wasn't in bed. I grabbed my phone and checked the time. Oh now it makes sense. It's six in the morning. It's Lilly's first day of first grade! I climbed out of bed checking on the twins before going down to make breakfast.

"Mumma I'm going to school today!" Lilly smiled walking downstairs in her school clothes and bed hair.

"You are!" I grinned putting breakfast in the table.

"Scrambled eggs and bacon is my favorite thank you mummy." She said as she ate.

"You're welcome, when you're done we need to do your hair and then take pictures." I said.

Lilly nodded as she ate her breakfast. Once she was done she put her dishes in the sink and then came to me so I could do her hair. I just put it up into a messy bun with a few curls hanging down.

"Alright, pictures and then daddy L is gonna take you to school okay? I have a big day ahead of me myself." I said getting out my phone.

Lilly nodded as she put her book bag on and smiled.

"Awe! That's so cute!" I smiled as I took the picture. "Now remember daddy H is picking you up today okay?"

"I know mum you told me so many times yesterday." Lilly groaned.

"Just making sure you remembered. Bye, have a good day I love you!" I said as Louis put her in the car.

"Bye." She waved as they drove off.

I walked back inside and got ready as I waited for the babysitter to arrive.

"Shelby?" Marie asked.

"I'm in my room." I said as I finished curling my hair.

"You look stunning! You'd think you're going to a movie premier instead of a meeting for school." She grinned.

"Thank you." I giggled. "Louis should be home from recording around three. If not here's his number."

"Okay thanks." Marie said.

"Not a problem but I got to go." I said checking the time.

I walked downstairs and got into the car. I sent a quick text to Louis letting him know I was leaving. I sighed taking a sip of my coffee. Shit. I was so concerned in getting Lilly off to school I forgot to eat breakfast. I have a granola bar don't I? Once I stopped at a red light I quickly dug through my purse and found one. Thank god. I ate it as I continued driving. I finally arrived and grabbed my purse and coffee as I walked into the building. College. Wow didn't think I'd ever be here again.

"Shelby Horan." I smiled as I signed myself in.

"The student adviser is waiting for you." She smiled warmly.

"Thank you." I said as I walked to my student advisers office.

"Hi, Shelby correct?" Mrs. Farrah asked.

"Yes mam." I smiled shaking her hand.

"Well take a seat and we will get started." She grinned.

I nodded taking a seat.

"So I understand you're famous, don't worry about the publicity or anything. This school is set up to focus on the students and their education not their personal lives." Mrs. Farrah said as she sat down at her desk.

"That's great thank you, uhm I was worried about classes." I said.

"Okay, what's your worries?" She asked.

"Well for one I am a mum and am expecting again." I said.

"Okay, so what we should do is schedule morning classes?" She asked.

"Preferably." I smiled small.

"That's not a problem at all we can work with that. Here how would this work?" She asked showing me an already made schedule.

"Perfect." I smiled looking at it.

"Okay, you'll keep that one and I'll put it in the computer. Here is some of the things you'll need for classes. Your books you can order online or go to the books and nobles. They are the only book store that would have them." She said.

"Okay thank you so much!" I said.

"Any time. Good luck your classes start next week." Mrs. Farrah smiled.

"Thanks again!" I smiled as I got up and left.

I got out my phone and called Louis as I was walking to my car.

"Hey baby what's up?" Louis asked.

"Uhm nothing much are you at home?" I asked.

"No, why is everything okay? Do I need to go home?" Louis asked.

"No it's just that my meeting for school ended early. I was going to run to the book store real quick and get the books I need." I said unlocking my car and getting in.

"Oh that's fine I just talked to Marie. She's doing great and so are the kids." Louis said.

"Okay. Do we pay her today?" I asked.

"No we pay her weekly. She gets paid on Friday." Louis said.

"Oh okay, well I need to go. I'll talk to you later love you." I said.

"Okay love you too bye." He said hanging up.

I pulled into the bookstore and got out taking my list with me. I grabbed a cart not sure on how much I'll be getting. I searched through the isles and got everything I'll need.

"Will this be all for you mam?" The young teen aged boy asked.

"Yes." I smiled as I got out my credit card to pay.

"Okay your total is $109.63." He said.

I swiped my card and paid as he put my books into bags.

"Thank you come again." He smiled.

I smiled small and nodded my head. I walked back out to the car and put my items in the back seat since it wasn't much. I then drove off to the house humming to the music as it played. I pulled up to the house and got out.

"Marie? I'm home!" I smiled.

"Kinda sounds like we're married." Marie laughed. "How was the meeting?"

"It went great! Come with me to my office and I'll copy my school schedule for you." I said.

She nodded her head and followed me to the office. I took out my schedule and placed it on the copier.

"I requested morning classes but one class was only in the evening. Louis should be home then but if he isn't do you think you could babysit?" I asked.

"Definitely." She smiled as she read my schedule.

"Awesome thank you! I'll see you in the morning?" I asked.

"Yep, eight sharp." Marie smiled.

"Great! See you then!" I smiled as she left.
