Mum, is this supposed to happen?

*Shelby's POV*

We've been in the new house for about three weeks now. Lilly is out of her cast and just wears a brace. She is allowed to play footie again but she has to continue with physical therapy. I washed some dishes while the kids were playing in the play room. Harry should be coming home any time now.

"Babe?" Harry asked.

"In the kitchen, I'm doing the dishes." I said.

Harry came in and turned off the water kissing my cheek. "Take a seat babe. You need a break. I'll finish these."

"Thank you." I smiled sitting at the island.

"Anytime. Are you thinking of going back to the studio anytime soon?" He asked.

"I thought about it. I'm not entirely sure though. I want to spend time with Madison." I sighed thinking about her.

"Then take some more time off." Harry said. "I'll watch the kids too or they can come with me to the studio."

"I'd appreciate it." I smiled genuinely.

"Then go for it. According to Niall she isn't getting any better." Harry sighed.

"I know I talked to her earlier, we are planning to go for lunch tomorrow." I said scrolling through twitter.

"Mummy, is this supposed to happen?" Lilly asked showing me her tooth that came out.

"Yeah, that means you'll be getting big girl teeth soon." I smiled.

"Can I tell my friends it was a footie accident?" She asked making Harry laugh.

"Why would you do that babe?" Harry asked.

"Because my friends said I'm a champ if I walk away strong from a footie accident." Lilly said.

"So you want to lie to your friends?" Harry asked.

"Well no." She said sitting beside me.

"Then just tell your friends how it really happened. They'll be loosing teeth soon as well anyways." Harry shrugged.

"I guess so." Lilly said. "When's my next practice?"

"Uh, tomorrow evening." I said looking at the calendar.

"Okay, do I have physical therapy tomorrow too?" Lilly asked.

"Yeah so one of your daddies will pick you up early." I said.

"Why can't you? You get the girls and Bentley all the time." Lilly asked. "I want you to come mummy."

"I can't sweetie. I'm not able to sign your important papers anymore." I said.

"That's dumb you're my mum." She said as she colored.

"Hey now, don't use words like that." Harry scolded.

"Sorry daddy, I just really want mummy to take me again." Lilly sighed.

"It's okay, go take your stuff to your room to color. We will be up to tuck you into bed soon." Harry promised.

"Okay daddy." Lilly said getting down and collecting her things before going back upstairs.

"I hate this. I want to be a mum to her again Harry. He took that away from me." I sighed hugging him.

"I know love and I'm so sorry. If I could fix this I would." Harry sighed pressing a kiss to my head. "But you still are a mum to her. You take her to practice, make sure her homework is done, make sure she's fed and ready for bed. There's so much more I could go on about Shel. I know you want to fill out her paperwork like you do the other kids but that's just a tiny little thing you can't do. You can do everything else."

"Thank you." I whispered kissing his lips.

"You're welcome. Now let's put our crazy children to bed." He laughed.

"Kai loves the sound of your voice." I smiled feeling Kaiser gently kicking.

"Really?" Harry asked feeling the kicks. "You know we have many kids and this feeling alone never gets old."

"It really doesn't." I agreed.
