She Can't

*Shelby's POV*

Today we opened up the studio back up to the public and we couldn't be more excited. The baby news was exciting. Harry and I weren't planning on having another baby this soon but hey I'm pregnant so there's nothing we can do about it now.

"Can I give a beautiful lady some lunch?" Harry asked making me jump.

"Jesus Harry you scared me but of course you can. What is it?" I asked.

"Potato soup from your favorite deli." Harry said making me smile.

"Thank you baby." I smiled taking it from him.

"You're welcome." He smiled. "I need to check your bandaging and see how the bruising of your ribs are looking."

"Ugh. No wonder why you gave me food first." I pouted.

"Shelby, I'm taking Madison. It's urgent." Niall said walking into my office.

"Okay, can you tell me what's wrong though?" I asked.

"No not yet. Madison needs to know first." Niall said as he left.

I nodded taking a bite of my soup glancing at Harry. "Do you know?"

"Not a clue." Harry said making me sigh.

"I hope they're okay." I said.

"I'm sure they are babe. Now up." He said.

I sighed moving my hair from one side of my neck showing Harry the bandage. Harry gently took it off making me hiss.

"I'm sorry baby. It needs cleaned though." He said going through my drawer getting the cleaning supplies he needed before cleaning it.

"Does it still look bad?" I asked.

"Yeah but not as bad as it has been." Harry said.

I sighed nodding my head as he cleaned the stitches. I glanced up hearing my office phone go off. I quickly answered it and put it on speaker seeing it was Niall.

"What the hell happened?" I asked.

"Do you remember when Madison went to the doctors office?" He asked.

"Yeah?" I questioned gasping lightly as I felt a sting onto on of my scars.

"What's going on?" Niall asked.

"Nothing Harry is just cleaning my scars." I sighed. "So what's going on with mads?"

"She needs a couple weeks off." Niall said.

"For what?" I asked glancing up at Harry who just simply shrugged his shoulders.

"Madison has cancer." NIall gulped.

"Oh my god. How bad?" I asked.

"It's very fast acting. We are doing all the treatments we can but aren't sure that it's enough." He sighed.

"She can have all the time she needs off. If I need something from her I'll bring it by and give it to her." I promised.

"Thank you so much Shel. It means a lot to us." Niall said.

"Anytime you guys are family. If there is anything else I can do please let me know. I'll do it to the best of my ability." I said.

"Well Madison starts chemo Tuesday could you guys watch Bentley?" Niall asked.

"Of course." I smiled.

"Thank you. If anything else comes up I'll let you know." Niall said.

"Okay sounds good I'll get her important things she likes from the office and bring it by later as well if that's okay." I said.

"That'd be great. Thank you." Niall smiled.

"Sure thing. I'll bring it by after I close the shop this evening." I said.

"Alright well I got to go thanks again sis I love you." Niall said making me smile.

"I love you too Ni bye." I smiled hanging up.

"Wow." Harry sighed.

"She can't have cancer Harry." I sniffled looking at him.

"I know baby." Harry whispered pulling me into a hug and kissing my head.
