I promise

*Shelby's POV*

Its been two months since I broke down about the divorce. We were in the car driving around. I rested my head on the window listening to the music that was on the radio.

"Shelby?" Niall asked.

"What Ni?" I sighed.

"What's wrong with you?" He asked.

"What do you mean?" I asked looking in his icy blue eyes that matched mine.

"You're not yourself. It's not the Shelby that I grew up with." He said.

"That Shelby is gone. I've changed." I said.

"Shelby come on what's bothering you?" He asked.

"Just drop it Ni." I sighed wrapping my blanket around me and looked out the window.

 My phone rang. I looked at it and sighed knowing I had to answer and put on a fake smile.

"Hey." I said.

"Hey Shelby. How are you doing?" Mum asked.

"I'm good mum." I lied.

"That's great! Are you getting your school work one?" She asked.

"Yeah. It's at the hotel though." I said.

"Good. Greg wants to talk to you." She said.

"Uhm, okay?" I questioned.

"Hey Shelby what was your tweet about?" He asked.

"Everything. I miss you guys so much." I sighed.

"We miss you too. But look you're traveling the world doing something you've always dreamed of." He said.

"I guess you're right. How's Theo?" I asked wiping away a tear.

"He's doing really well. Want to talk to him?" Greg asked.

"He can talk now?" I asked completely shocked.

"Some." Greg laughed.

"Sure." I said.

"Hey Theo wanna talk to Auntie Shelby?" Greg asked.

"Auntie?" Theo asked.

"Yeah it's me buddy." I laughed.

"Where you go?" He asked.

"I'm with your Uncle Niall traveling the world." I said.

"Oh. Will you guys come home?" He asked.

"Soon I h-hope." I stuttered.

"I miss you." He said.

"I miss you too bud." I sobbed.

"Alright buddy go find your mum." Greg said. "Why are you crying Shelby? Is Harry treating you bad?"

"No! And wait how did you find that out? We haven't announced that much less it's not entirely true yet." I said.

"Shelby. You and him are all over every magazine." Greg said.

"Oh. But no that's not the case. I just really miss home. I don't miss the people that I went to school with but you know what I mean." I said.

"I understand. Just remember we're all just a call away okay. Just promise you'll stop cutting and stay clean." He said.

"That's so hard to do." I groaned.

"Shelby!" He exclaimed.

"That was my ear." I said. "And I'll try my best to keep the promise."

"Okay well I got to go see ya Shel." He said.
