Holly followed Yunho inside the grocery and tried hard to keep up. It wasn't that easy. His limbs are way too long, that one step from him was tree steps for Holly. Not to mention he moves so fast. He grabbed a few bundle of canned beer and some chips.
Isn't he exaggerating? There's only four of them. He's buying party quantity.
"Yunho?" She called, catching his attetion. He smiled and suddenly, it's like time started to slow down. The lights were brighter and life was so much better. With just a smile, he managed to take her breath away.
It was magic. Just like how it was described in novels. You'll know you're in love when suddenly your whole world revolve around them. All the simple things suddenly becomes bigger than any galaxy there is.
And he's all you see.
"Can't stand their silence?" He asked, as he placed aeverything he's holding on the counter. The way his sleeves were pulled up messily, revealing his forearms. His skin was so fair, Holly suddenly felt embarrassed with her tattooed forearms.
She always loved thoe tattoos but jut because of a guy she's starting to hate them. She glanced at Yunho and stared at him from head to toe. He's perfect. How can someone be this perfect? Nobody's allowed to be this perfect and be the same species as her.
"God, why didn't you make me an orangutan, if you're going to make a perfect human being?" Holly whispered, but it was loud enough for Yunho to hear. He tried his hardest not to laugh and pretend that he heard nothing.
"What does that mean?" Yunho pointed at her gradient purple, waxing crescent moon tattoo below her head of ulna.
Holly felt insecure and exposed. She should've worn her usual wardrobe. "It's a...." she couldn't continue.
Yunho paid for the beer and Holly's strawberry drink, then helped her walk despite the heavy things he's carrying. He didn't want to push her into sharing her tattoo's meaning. After all, they're not really that close.
He placed the beer on the trunk noticing that Mingi and Hannah are now laughing together. He really envied the guy. The breaks the ice easily.
"You have a lot of tattoos, huh?" He also tried to start a conversation with Holly, who was sitting at the trunk with the pile of beer beside her. She looks so small the way she still fits there.
"Do you have any?" Holly asked, assessing if Yunho was the type of person she can talk to about tattoos.
"Nope." He quickly answered.
Nope, not the type of person to talk about tattoos. He's not a tattoo enthusiast, and he might say irritating things unintentionally.
Because of the silence that Holly is having off, Yunho was pressured that if he doesn't say anything, the conversation ends here.
"I...I promised my mother I wouldn't get any piercing or tattoos." He opened up. "Back in college, when my mother saw my friends with piercings and tattoos, I saw how terrified she looked. After they left, she asked me if I have any, I told her I would never have any. Here I am keeping my promise." He told her.
Holly smiled bitterly, she can even taste the bitterness on her mouth. Clearly, Yunho ws rised well by his parents. He's like the sporty jock that everybody has a crush on.
Cool guy, nice to everyone, liked by everybody including the faculty. A role model. Someone so high that you can't reach.
"I'd be terrifying to her then." She suddenly said out of nowhere.
