2 months later

It's been 2 months since I kicked Joe out the house. He hasn't tried to get in contact with me or even come to see Connor. I thought that seeing his son would take priority over his career but clearly not.

It didn't take me that long before I decided to move house to somewhere else in Cheshire. The house I bought has 9 bedrooms, both indoor and outdoor swimming pools, home gym, a cinema that could seat up to 20 people and a mile long drive to reach the actual house. Obviously the house has a lot more things in it that make it as amazing as it is, but those are the main ones that stand out.

I sat in the play room, on the floor, with Connor as he played with some of his toys. He started to speak a little but only a few words like 'mama' or 'dada' but as soon as he says 'dada', tears begin to form in my eyes.

He turned to me and I picked him up so he was standing on the floor.

"Dada," he said, touching my face with one of his small hands.

"Daddy isn't here sweetie," I explained as tears began to form in my eyes for the second time today.

I looked into his eyes and saw that he really was beginning to miss his dad being around. He needed Joe.

I sighed when I heard the front door open and close.

"Mia!" Roshien called as she came into the house.

I picked Connor up as I got to my feet and walked out into the hallway to meet her. I stopped in front of her as she looked around the hallway.

"You clearly have been busy," she muttered in surprise at the vast hallway. I laughed a little at her. "The last time I was here, you were just getting the place painted. You now live in a castle!"

"It's not exactly a castle, Roshien." I said as she looked at the pictures on the walls.

"Mia, why have you put a picture of you and Joe on your wedding day up?" She asked.

I looked up at the picture that was hanging on the wall. "I wanted it up."

"Mia..." she wined.

"Roshien, it's my house and whatever I want to put up, is up to me." I told her.

"Fair enough," she shrugged, following me in to the first living room.

I opened the door and walked in. Roshien followed close behind and stopped at the doorway.

"Wow," she breathed, looking around the room. "Now, this...this must have cost you a fortune."

"A few hundred thousand on the marble floor alone and a few million on the crystal chandelier." I pointed out, looking up at the ceiling.

"A few...you're god damn lucky you have money and rich parents!" She said walking fully into the room.

The sound of her high heels hitting the marble floor, echoed around the room and she stopped. I looked at her as Connor looked down at her shoes.

"Maybe I should take these off," she said while bending down and taking the heels off.

"Maybe you should," I laughed before sitting down on one of the oversized couches

She sat down across from me and looked at the picture that hung above the fireplace. "Now, that's a good picture."

I looked up at the picture and smiled. "It is."

"How did you manage to capture Connor laughing on that shoot?" She asked.

"Wasn't hard. He's got the hyperness off his dad." I put Connor down next to me on the couch.
