Chapter 29

Normal POV

I wake up at 9am in the morning and turn round to lay on my back. I looked over in the bed and noticed that Joe wasn't lying there next to me. I sit up and remembered what happened during the night. I smiled before getting up out of the bed and walking into my walk-in wardrobe and picked out an outfit to wear for today. I had no idea what I was going to be doing today but whatever it was it will be with the children, so I kept it simple. I chose to wear my skinny jeans with a black fitted top.

20 minutes later, I walked out the room, changed, and walked down the stairs. When I reached the bottom, I looked down the hall to my left.

"Good morning sexy," Joe whispered in my ear as he slipped his arms round my waist.

I turned round and looked at him. "Good morning to you too."

"What took you so long to get up?" He asked.

"Nothing. I heard you get up earlier but I just couldn't bring myself to wake up," I smiled.

"Oh well, you're up now." He smiled, giving me a kiss.

He let me go and took my hand before we started to walk towards the kitchen. We walked in and I walked over to the breakfast bar. I let go of Joe's hand and sat down before he moved to stand close behind me, his hands resting on my shoulders.

"What are the two of you doing today?" Roshien asked. 

"I don't..." I started.

"I'm taking Mia shopping to get her some clothes for our holiday in May," Joe butted in and answered, his hands running up and down my arms.

I smiled as he leaned forward and rested his hands on the counter in front of me. I felt his lips brush the side of my neck as he rested his head on my shoulder.

"I hope you're going to buy her what she wants," Roshien said to Joe.

"She can get anything she wants," he told her.

"Good."

"Can we go yet?" I asked.

"Sure," he confirmed, standing up straight.

I stood up and walked out the kitchen to walk back up the stairs to the bedroom to get my things. I walked into my walk-in wardrobe and picked up a pair of Jimmy Coo boots, my black leather jacket and a Marc Jacobs bag. I walked out of there and over to the bed to put them on.

Once I had them on, I picked up my phone from the side of the bed and walked out the room to go back down the stairs. When I reached the bottom, I saw Joe standing by the front door with his car keys in his hand.

"Ready?"

"Only waiting on you," he smiled, opening the front door for me.

"Is Roshien..."

"She's looking after the children unless you want to take them with us?"

"It's fine," I said, walking out the house.

We walked over to the car and got in. I put my seatbelt on as Joe started the car and began to drive away.

We had been out shopping for well over an hour and a half before Joe decided that he wanted to take me somewhere for a surprise. We walked into a jewellers shop and started to look at some jewellery.

I stood looking at the diamond bracelets as Joe stood behind, one hand resting on my waist.

"See anything you like?" He asked me.

"So much to pick from..." I muttered.

"Pick whatever you want," he concented, kissing my cheek lightly.
