I walked out the bedroom and down the stairs, heading in the direction of the slightly opened front door. I pulled the door open wider and walked along the paved garden path that lead to the beach. It was getting a little dark now but the sun setting away in the distance at the front of the house, made it look bright enough for you to still see where you were going.

I turned the corner expecting to take my shoes off and walk on the sand but I stopped in shock. I gasped at the sight of the decking laid down on the sand for me to walk on so I didn't need to worry about taking my shoes off. I stepped up onto it and began to walk along the long wooden pathway.

I stopped as I saw a woman standing by the side only a few feet in. She handed me a bouquet of white roses and smiled before gesturing for me to continue my walk along the path. I turned my attention to the candle and flowered pathway that lay ahead and smiled before walking along further and that's when it hit me. Joe planned for us to renew our vows out here.

I looked over to the wooden gazebo that was set up near the water and saw Joe standing with a smile on his face as I got closer. I took one last turn and looked straight at Joe. His black suit with white shirt made me remember our wedding day.

Although, on our wedding day, he was wearing a tie with his shirt but he wasn't today. I walked to him and he took my right hand in his. He smiled brightly as I stopped and turned to faced him.

“You planned all this didn't you?” I asked him straigh away.

“Kinda. Why? Is it good?” He questioned.

“I'll let you know after it's all done,” I replied with a slight smirk and a wink at him.

“All ready?” The minister asked us.

“Go for it,” Joe confirmed with a smile on his face.

I smiled at him once more before it began.

Thirty minutes later and it now came to us 'putting the rings on. Joe took my left hand in his and reached into his pocket with his other hand. He pulled out a different ring that wasn't my real wedding ring and I eyed him closely.

“Mia, I know that this isn't like your other wedding ring but it's the least I can do to try and make up for not keeping my promise to you when I gave you that other ring.”

He slipped the ring onto my finger and brought my hand up to his mouth. He kissed the ring and the back of my hand gently.

“You can kiss your bride, Mr. Hart.” The minister instructed.

Joe pulled my hand he held and brought me close to him. I smiled before he kissed me. We pulled apart and I lay my left hand on his chest as he placed his hands on the base of my back.

“Did I do well with the ring?” He asked as I looked at it.

“You did very well,” I smiled.

“Ready to go and have dinner?”

“Yes! I've not had anything to eat today other than strawberry’s during my pampering,” I groaned as we began to walk towards the table and chairs that was set up behind the gazebo we were just in.

I walked over to my seat and sat down as Joe sat down in his. I sat my bouquet down on the side of the table before looking at Joe. “How the hell did you plan all of this?”

“I can keep secrets too you know,” he answered, leaning over to kiss me.

I pushed him away lightly after I kissed him. A waiter approached us with our food and we began to eat.

We had been eating and drinking for the past three hours. The sun had finally set and all the light that we had was from both the candles and fire burners. Joe had taken his jacket off and sat it over the back of his chair before our main course came. Everything we ate at dinner was just perfect. Kinda like this whole day.
