2 WEEKS LATER

"Why can't you do this yourself?" I ask Joe as I stand in the hotel room in Birmingham, helping him with his tie.

"Because you do it perfect."

"Joe..."

"I want to look perfect. It's a big night after all."

I move his tie into place and fold his white shirt collar down. Sighing, I turn and away from him, picking my dress up from where it lay on the bed and walk into the bathroom to put it on.

15 minutes later, I walk out the bathroom in my dress and look at Joe who was not sitting on the bed waiting for me. "What do you think?"

He looks up at me and is mouth opens slightly. "W-wow!"

I laugh lightly before walking over to the floor length mirror to check that the dress is sitting right. It was a long black strapless dress with a very high split up the left side and it had been specially made for me by Marchesa. I smoothen the dress out over my hips and walk over to the bed. I sit down next to Joe and reach into the box that was sitting by my side and take out my black Louboutin Lady Peep shoes. I put the on before standing up. I straightened my dress out once more before I looking at Joe who was now standing in front of me.

"You look amazing," he comments before placing his hands on my hips and pulling me close.

I rest my hands on his chest and smile, giving him a light kiss on the lips as a thank you. He doesn't let me pull away though. Instead, he lets his left hand travel up the side of my body and rest on the back of my neck, causing me to rest my forehead against his.

"I think we should go," I murmur.

"I think we should," he nods.

We pull apart and I link my right arm with his left before we walk out the room and head towards the event that was taking place down in the ballroom of the hotel.

As we reach the entrance to the ballroom, everyone's eyes in the room went onto us. We walk down the few steps into the room as everyone got back to chatting to people. I look round the room and spot both sets of our parents standing with the children. I mention to Joe and we begin to walk over to them.

As we approach them, Odette looks up at me, her dark blonde curled hair falling down her back and down the back of her ivory dress.

"You look pretty, mummy." She smiles.

I look down at her and smile. "Thank you, baby."

"What about me?" Joe asks, looking down at her.

"You look good too..." She starts.

"But mummy looks better," Matthew finishes.

"That's nice to know that our children think you look better than me," Joe sighs in disbelief.

"That's because I do," I smirk, kissing his lips lightly.

"Ewww, stop kissing my mummy!" Connor part-shouts, hitting Joe's leg with his fisted hands.

"Connor..." I start, a warning tone coming through my single word as Joe lets my arm go and pulls me to his side.

"Sorry," he apologises, looking down at the floor.

"You do look amazing though, Mia." Louise smiles to me.

"Thank you."

"Mia?" I heard a male say. I turn and look at the male who called me. "It's me. Oscar Miller. I use to go to your high school."
